She spent most of her time with Thor which was usually in New York City but she couldn't get herself to sell her apartment. Maybe she was sentimental but she could afford to keep it so there was no reason to sell it. Ember was currently in New York City. ~~

She decided to travel to New Orleans, Las Vegas and LA. After a few months she got a journalist conference in New York City. She had agreed to go. She had arrived earlier in the day and had dropped her bags at the hotel before making her way to a local cafe. She had never been here before. ~~

She spent months trying to find the dark fairy. She had always been a little to late until she tracked her to yellowstone national park in Wyoming. She had found the dark fairy and had her cornered when some guy showed up. ~~

She knew she needed to hunt the dark fairy but she had to have the means in which to do it. After a month she rented a cheap apartment. Got a cellphone and a laptop. She then took a journalist gig to make money so she could travel to find the dark fairy while also making some money. ~~

She would have to steal what she needed until she made some money. She stepped out of the abandoned building onto a not so crowded street. She strolled down the street. She saw a shop saying hiring. Twenty dollars an hour for a restaurant waitress. ~~

She then stepped through the portal. She landed in what seemed to be an abandoned building. She knew that she would need to find a job and a home before she could go after the dark fairy. She knew she could stay in this place until she could find a home. ~~

The fact that she mat never see them again broke her but she knew what she had to do. Her friend had been with her. She gave them messages to tell her mom and sister. Thankfully she actually had a bag with her with some clothes and cosmetics since she was supposed to be going to her friends house.~~

Ember felt compelled though and accepted the fact she may not return. Her friend happened to be with her when the dark fairy when she opened the portal. Ember knew her family was going to be devastated that she didn't get a chance to say goodbye. ~~

Thing was once she killed the dark fairy Ember wasn't sure that she'd ever be able to make it back to her home Solaria, in the otherworld. She was willing to take the risk knowing no one else really wanted to leave with the uncertainty that they wouldn't be able to return. ~~

The fairy had wanted to cause destruction to Earth. Ember knew Earth was like the Otherworld just not everyone had magic. Most of the population didn't believe that magic existed. So, Ember followed the dark fairy through the portal so she could kill her. ~~
