The prompt was based loosely on one of my favorite movies, His Girl Friday (1940), which has also received the DT stamp of approval! 240-word per minute bickering, zero journalistic ethics. It’s in the public domain and easy to find, or the Criterion restoration is beautiful, highly recommended!

I loved @hermiola89.bsky.social’s stand-up AU, The Marvellous Blah Blah Blah: archiveofourown.org/works/90240851 There’s a description of Crowley’s tour poster at one point that really made me want to make it. This is riveted brass and a little smaller than a credit card.

This sand spit is five miles long; if you zoom in you can see the lighthouse way out by the tree on the right. I hiked it once and that was enough for one lifetime (it’s not hiking so much as trying not to break an ankle on rocks and scrambling over driftwood) but it’s still beautiful to visit.

The light’s always on… This is brass, which etches cleaner than copper, so even though I made everything smaller, the details are surprisingly well preserved. The bookshop is about 7mm high, so the fact that you can still almost read the sign is very satisfying

I’ve had several new project ideas I’m excited about since Rob’s talk last week, but first priority is a Terry’s Ending pendant. This is my copper test etch of one of the parts for that - for scale, the Bentley is about 11mm long. I’m quite happy with the detail I got given the size!
