There's so much reylo on my Discover feed. It's like going back in time to 2016 -2019! I didn't personally have a good experience with certain cliques within the fandom. But I did read some great fanfic, see some amazing fan art, and it was a big part of my life during some very tough times.

I'm back on my Stargate SG1 bullshit. I'd forgotten how much I loved this show back in the day. I don't know if I'll ever again feel the same deep affection for any shows/characters as the ones I loved in the 1990s/early 2000s - The X Files, Buffy, Stargate SG1, STTNG, & Seinfeld and Frasier.

There wasn't much fungi around at all in our local woodland on today's walk. We need more rain, I think. All I found was some sulphur tufts, some kind of yellow slime mold, and some shrivelled parasols. #fungifriends

It's amazing how accepting we are of crappy goods and services these days. Everything is getting more and more expensive while the quality for the price keeps plummeting. The basic (with ads) Netflix subscription is going up from £5.99 to £7.99 next month. I'll be cancelling and buying more DVDs.

I was taken with Florence's Seat in Lea Wood. We stopped there for a tea break on yesterday's walk. I can certainly understand why Florence Nightingale liked to spend time there when she lived in a nearby village with her family. The view was probably unobstructed in her day and no traffic noise!

Every time an autistic child/adult goes missing it's like a gut punch. We've been there with both of our sons. One was an escape artist and he managed to get away from us, a childminder, and schools on different occasions. All ended well for us all those times, but others are not so lucky. So sad.

The term 'mildly autistic' makes me cringe and want to scream. There is no such thing as mild autism. A person is simply autistic. The degree to which it affects the individual is down to many other factors e.g learning disabilities, ADHD, etc. It's autism+ and it's how all those conditions interact

Are all the antivax people vegans? Surely, they should be because farmed animals are vaccinated for all kinds of diseases. I've stopped eating meat because I'm concerned about animal welfare and the impact of intensive farming on the environment. I'm fine with being vaccinated.

The death of Elvis Presley. It's one of my earliest memories of anything. We were on holiday and there were TV rooms in hotels in those days. I remember everyone crowding around the TV to watch the news report and some were openly weeping. I knew who Elvis was because my grandad loved his music.

We went to see the heather on Stanton Moor this afternoon. It's a bit patchy because of all the hot and dry weather. Still very pretty in the sunshine. Afterwards, we took a little walk over to Doll Tor. A special bonus for us seeing black fallow deer on the way back.
