A punto de amanecer en la playa, el sol ha decidido que hoy quiere aparecer en plena exhibición cítrica tiñendo de naranja y pomelo las pocas nubes dispersas que servirán de pantalla, de paleta de matices y de deflector para iluminar el agua de la bahía.
Una chica pasea con su perro junto a la orilla.

Pero el foco de la foto está en la pareja ¿de recién jubilados? que se dirigen a pegarse un baño. Ella, cubierta con un albornoz; él, con una toalla sobre los hombros. Tocaría adivinar si están cumpliendo una promesa, es un capricho para despedir la temporada de baños, o forma parte de su rutina. En cualquier caso, marca un bonito objetivo para cualquier relación de pareja.

Aunque hacia el fondo el cielo está despejado, con algún cúmulo que recibe la luz del sol, encima de nosotros las nubes amenazan con descargar. El contraste del momento propicia un tono ocre y húmedo de la arena, tras las hierbas de las dunas. Las olas, a su vez, toman una coloración esmeralda bajo las espumas que tratan de aprovechar los surfistas, y hacia el horizonte el mar busca tonos de color lavanda.
Enfrente tenemos el monte San Antón, el célebre 'Ratón de Getaria', y sobre la carretera de la costa, a la izquierda del pueblo, resaltan los campos curiosamente verdes de la uva txakoli.

Está a punto de rayar el alba tras las torres de estilo monumental del edificio que hoy alberga el ayuntamiento, pero cuyo estilo inspirado en el Gran Casino de Montecarlo revela que el juego en La Belle Epoque fue la actividad que albergó inicialmente.
Al inicio de la pasarela, otra joya arquitectónica; esta de estilo racionalista y una forma que evoca un barco blanco atracado en el muelle.
Aunque el día arranca con el cielo despejado, ha caído algo de lluvia por la noche y vemos desde los escalones que descienden hacia el mar los travesaños de madera del pasadizo mojados y reflejando con distorsión la escena descrita.

En una mañana radiante, dos horas después de la pleamar, las olas rompen con fuerza contra la roca en la que se encuentra incrustada una de las tres esculturas de acero corten de la obra de Eduardo Chillida.

La presión que ejerce una ola de 2m al impactar sobre una puede andar por las 3T/m2, así que esta de la foto ha aguantado lo suyo desde que hace ¿cientos/miles/millones? de años se desprendiese del acantilado. Para que luego nos quejemos de que nos presionan en el trabajo o en casa para ordenar el trastero.
