Indra Chandon @indrachandon.bsky.social · 28/02/2026Very insightful answers from @darioamodei.bsky.social. I got a sense of the frustration and challenges of the situation his company finds itself in. It's a shame the journalist asking questions (appears to be either baiting or partisan) has so little skill IMHO. 000
Indra Chandon @indrachandon.bsky.social · 18/02/2026In South Korea the govt has gaming addiction programs for teens; a seeming acknowledgement that games and gaming is addictive. With most social media engineered using the same principals 'gamification' I'm at a loss to see how they are different to gaming and not addictive. 010
Indra Chandon @indrachandon.bsky.social · 18/02/2026If the files into the investigation of this one person hold so many secrets about criminal acts, then how many other investigations, including in other countries, are like this? 030
Indra Chandon @indrachandon.bsky.social · 12/02/2026In the article the journalist uses exactly one person's interpretation... Do you have any other data where the sample size is bigger? 000
Indra Chandon @indrachandon.bsky.social · 11/02/2026I don't believe that individual officers get that kind of liberty. I suspect there is some type of commander that allocates the officer's duties and area of responsibility for the day, who might be the one making those types of decisions. After the commissioner says what the priorities are. 100
Indra Chandon @indrachandon.bsky.social · 11/02/2026I thought it was the executors or administrator of the estate that were supposed to keep on top of this sort of thing 😉 000
Indra Chandon @indrachandon.bsky.social · 11/02/2026I imagine that for officers it's a constant battle of where their time is best spent... escooter riders or terrorism, domestic violence, public safety etc. It's possible that they may think their intervention with riders could be seen as limiting the riders personal freedom too... Tough one 100
Indra Chandon @indrachandon.bsky.social · 11/02/2026Do you remember those horrific slow motion road accident TV ads... I wonder if a campaign like that might be more helpful at informing people of the risks. When it seems that policing isn't working. 110
Indra Chandon @indrachandon.bsky.social · 11/02/2026Yes you have articulated your position clearly on your opinions. 000
Indra Chandon @indrachandon.bsky.social · 11/02/2026Not sure why you're bringing POTUS in to this....? 100
Indra Chandon @indrachandon.bsky.social · 11/02/2026Can I take that to mean that you are an Australian Palestinian then? You seem to have a lot of skin in this geopolitical game. Whereas I'm commenting on a public figure making a political statement likely to harm the other issues they represent. 100
Indra Chandon @indrachandon.bsky.social · 11/02/2026You don't seriously mean to say that seeing a placard or message on a protestor sign is actual research. I'm sure that's not what you're trying to say. Perhaps in your own words we would understand your position better. 100
Indra Chandon @indrachandon.bsky.social · 10/02/2026Thanks for the bare correction. It seems my ironic typing on that whole point was lost. I'll remember that for other discussions here. Ta. 110
Indra Chandon @indrachandon.bsky.social · 10/02/2026As one of few people using my legal name and actual likeness in my account profile that is in this discussion thread. There is no need to wonder any more. I am Australian by the way... which is why I know who Grace Tame is. 100
Indra Chandon @indrachandon.bsky.social · 10/02/2026Somewhat like the appropriation of a Buddist symbol by the Nazis. All the more reason to be thoughtful in your words and actions don't you think? Isn't this the responsibility we bare for having freedom of speech though? 400
Indra Chandon @indrachandon.bsky.social · 10/02/2026I have not heard or read statements made by Herzog, so have no ability to compare or make judgement about how incendiary this person has been. My comments are entirely based on the video and reporting as it relates to Grace Tame 100
Indra Chandon @indrachandon.bsky.social · 10/02/2026Yes that's a possible interpretation of tolerance. Based on your statement structure I'm left to infer that you think this is a bad thing. Where as I'm more in the Buddist camp when it comes to tolerance 000
Indra Chandon @indrachandon.bsky.social · 10/02/2026I don't believe that this is the sort of person Grace Tame is. So it's disappointing to see this from her IMHO. 000
Indra Chandon @indrachandon.bsky.social · 10/02/2026Australia is an incredibly diverse multicultural society and to continue living in our mostly peaceful communities it is up to us all to be better informed before we speak; unless you're the type of person who gets pleasure out of the discomfort and pain of others... 200
Indra Chandon @indrachandon.bsky.social · 10/02/2026I think you are conflating two things together here that you may not have intended. Freedom of speech is a privilege of democracy that should rightly be defended. Borrowing the words of others and parroting them without properly understanding how they might be incendiary... 400
Indra Chandon @indrachandon.bsky.social · 10/02/2026Especially when we are all afforded the privilege of free speech (compared to Burma, Libya, North Korea et al) 000
Indra Chandon @indrachandon.bsky.social · 10/02/2026My comment was about how without research she used borrowed words which IMHO is a very thoughtless thing to do in such a multicultural society like Australia, where our tolerance and understanding of others has to be better than other places. 200
Indra Chandon @indrachandon.bsky.social · 10/02/2026Sorry don't get your point here...? What is your argument in relation to the words yelled out loud by Grace Tame that was captured on video and now the subject of discussion with regards to the Australian of the Year award and it's possible withdrawal from her? 100
Indra Chandon @indrachandon.bsky.social · 10/02/2026What a shame that her ignorance is showing so publicly. An obvious example of borrowing the words of others without bothering to research their origins and possible offence 620
Indra Chandon @indrachandon.bsky.social · 10/02/2026#AfternoonBriefing #abcnews just how many non-Jewish Australians are upset about Herzog being in Australia? Politicians keep making these claims and there doesn't appear to be any real data to substantiate this claim. 000
Indra Chandon @indrachandon.bsky.social · 27/01/2026Under the leadership of a POTUS who campaigned on the protection of woman. The shooting of a man who was protecting women shoved around by law enforcement officers 0243
Indra Chandon @indrachandon.bsky.social · 19/12/2025Agreed. The first generation will have the toughest time adapting... obviously. Today's preschoolers won't even care by the time they're going to school, if their parents avoided the mobile phone babysitter. 000
Indra Chandon @indrachandon.bsky.social · 05/09/2025@@patskarvelas.bsky.social isn't it in Australia's best interest that our Prime Minister doesn't meet POTUS. IMHO I'm okay with not seeing our PM being humiliated by the US media and Trump administration in the Whitehouse. #AfternoonBriefing 010
Indra Chandon @indrachandon.bsky.social · 27/05/2025@patskarvelas.bsky.social it seems that Larissa Waters is able to gloss across the problems of energy transitioning in her arguments. How does she propose we get energy into the home, especially in multi dwelling properties that can't retrofit solar or batteries? 010
Indra Chandon @indrachandon.bsky.social · 29/03/2025Can anyone explain if x.com for reference data is more likely to create an AI with "absolute" freedom of speech, something with strongly built-in biases, or something else? 100
Indra Chandon @indrachandon.bsky.social · 25/03/2025@patskarvelas.bsky.social on tax reform... The `everybody` and "community" that gets used to talk about the Australian population rarely acknowledges the generational bubbles of Boomers and Millenniums who drive so much of the budget and govt spending over the last 10 years, IMHO. 010
Indra Chandon @indrachandon.bsky.social · 25/03/2025@patskarvelas.bsky.social is it possible to clarify with politicians when they make proclamations based on data using "averages"? There is such a distinct difference between Median and Mean averages; which can make some proclamations unnecessarily sensational when the reality is actually uneventful 030
Indra Chandon @indrachandon.bsky.social · 24/03/2025IMHO kids are rarely aware of how big and interesting the world really is. Any child that is fixating on narrow focused topic areas and going down these idealogical species ending rabbit holes is definitely in need of more exposure to life, IMHO. 000
Indra Chandon @indrachandon.bsky.social · 24/03/2025I'm curious to know what the journalist contributed to the chat whilst thinking it was fake news... 010
Indra Chandon @indrachandon.bsky.social · 21/03/2025I wonder if Australia threatened to deny all Americans the use of WiFi (which is an Australian technology being used globally) if these capitalist companies would back down or double down ... 110
