It is exceedingly heartwarming to find one's artwork from holiday cards of the last two years on friends' refrigerator.

I love making little props and reminders to make games easier to play. I was making spell cards for DND games in 2011. For my next character I have a list of names for undercover identities, spell cards for easy information, and bardic inspo cards to hand my party for this card bard.

A pile of sleeved cards lay on top of a dungeons and dragons character sheet. The name of the character has been blacked out and replaced with "Four Buttons." The species has been blacked out and replaced with Tabaxi. Some of the cards are spelled descriptions from DND, others are marked up with sharpies and labeled "Bardic Inspiration" with an explanation "when you fail a d20 test, you may spend this to add 1d6 to the roll."
Behind the character sheet is a list of names, all of which start with the letter F.

I've been enjoying Iroh, Dragon of the West in Brawl on Magic Arena. The deck isn't super strong- it's a pretty fair aggro deck in a game/format where playing fair means you're probably losing. But I had the joy of Iroh taking down a Phoenix King Ozai deck on my lunch break. Big x spell for victory

I built a new deck (more accurately I mashed two together to try to do some nonsense) and I'm happy with the testing so far. Zero gamechangers, has some wild plays, but I live in fear of a Shattering Spree or other such mass artifact removal. Ramos, Dragon Engine is ready to play.

Tonight we mourn and celebrate. Every day we mourn and celebrate. One tradition is to leave her some peas. She loved peas. When they said to cut back on salty treats I started giving her some of my peas, she loved chomping down on them. Now I always leave some left over in my bowl as an offering.

CW: Medical stuff- Toby fought me every time I tried to pill her. She got wrapped in a blanket like a little purrito, and she'd wriggle and struggle and one of those paws would come out and try to stab me. But as soon as everything was done and she got her treat she was chill and loving again.

At 16 I started throwing birthday parties for Toby. Invited humans she knew and some I thought she'd love, and it was a great time for both of us. She could come and go as she pleased, got extra treats and love, and I got to celebrate the joy that is Toby with people.

Toby LOVED Outdoor Kitty Adventure Time. She'd walk down our steps and sniff the rocks and plants and walk up to Slice's door and Slice would hiss at us. And then Toby would roll around on the rocks, or try to get under a dumpster. She only hated when I picked her up to go home. I embarrassed her.

A few years and a few apartments later, we met a downstairs neighbor with a cat named Slice, and Slice loved to walk around outside on a leash and harness. I'd tried that with Toby in the past and she'd always just flopped over but seeing how much Slice loved outdoor time I wanted to try again.

The pandemic started while we were still at that apartment, I switched to working from home. Toby got a chair next to mine at the kitchen table where I worked on my laptop. She started coming to all the work meetings, the only reason I turned on my camera was for her to say hi and get a treat.

Toby loved the humans in that apartment, especially the ones allergic to her. Every couple weeks I'd get a photo from one of them of Toby on their chest or in their bed or something. I had to put a sign up on my door to make sure she didn't get second dinners. Toby did not like that sign.

A while later we moved in with some friends- 3 guys and a small dog, Timon. He desperately wanted to be friends with Toby, vibrating with excitement whenever she was close. Toby did not like him at all. Punched him in the face on multiple occasions.

As M was leaving, another friend was falling out of a relationship and needed a place to stay. H slept on the murphy bed for a few months. H was allergic to cats. Toby LOVED H. To the point of slipping out of bed after I'd fallen asleep to go cuddle with H. Lots of allergy meds were used.

The first time I had tuna in the apartment, it was just me and Toby. M was out. On my usual routine, I drained the tuna water into the kitchen sink. Toby YELLED at me, demanding her share. I learned I had committed a crime against cat culture. After that day she always got the tuna water.

I don't remember what started it, but at some point M and I did the old sitcom bit where we put Toby in the middle of a hallway and stood at opposite ends to see who she'd pick. Toby came to me. I will always thank her for choosing me.

Toby also was a little fat. Not super fat, but a chonkster. This created our dinner ritual where I would pour her a bowl of kibbles and she would chase me around the apartment as I did laps before she could have her food. She got to a good weight.

When M and I got a little apartment to ourselves, she asked to bring Toby in. I was worried we weren't allowed to have cats, that we'd get into trouble with the rental company. I wanted to see if other units had secret cats first. One day I came home and Toby was there.

I met Toby in late 2014 when visiting my (at the time) partner M's mom to make tamales. Toby was M's cat, lived at the mom's place outside, and M liked to open the door to let Toby in. M's mom would shoo her back outside. Toby was fat, liked to steal other cats' food, she was the neighborhood boss.

Trying to get my Sentinel crew painted up before an event in a few weeks. Having a great time with little details. And also evil choices.

Bought a great print from @zacharyiswackary.bsky.social last night, fits perfectly with this Salvador Larocca print I picked up forever ago. Happy to put more queer art on my walls.

Avernus Spoilers! The map around the bleeding citadel is meant to be pacman style- you can go off one edge to the other. So I took a few hours and made it something I could sidescroll through for my party! Now they can always be in the center and look around with confusion.
