Because our congressional reps are too cowardly to stand up to Trump, even as Nebraskans are suffering, they will get to beg him for money to bail out farmers. These people would rather support what they call a socialist handout when it’s a family than advocate for us.

Yesterday our senators Sasse and Fisher voted to increase the amount of money we're giving ICE and DoD for Trump's Iran War. So we have to ask: If farmers going bankrupt, kids being murdered, and continued hiding of Epstein files don't give them enough courage to stand up for Nebraskans, what would?

We're nearing a point where Trump has done so many things that directly harm US farmers, it's starting to look intentional. What could be worse than driving up all their supply costs? Why, cheaper imports of beef to force down their sale prices, of course.

When Chuck Grassley of Iowa supports blowing a billion dollars for a component of a ballroom, we have to wonder if the real plan is to bankrupt America into crisis and gut safety net programs. Speaking of, where are the credit rating agencies on this recent spend? We're casually spending a lot.

Kevin Hassett was a professor at Columbia and NYU. Hopefully he didn't teach his students that when there are sudden sharp spikes in credit card utilization, it's a sign of stability. He probably did teach them that being "close to full employment" means there aren't any more jobs. (2/2)
