This was a simpler single signature book from last week’s workshop.

A closed hand-made book. The front cover is light coloured, with splodges of reddish paint. A dark brown band tied with reddish silk thread holds the book closed.

The book is open, showing pages of different sizes, some are paper, some are linen. Some have abstract writing-like marks in black or brown.

This is the most complicated of the books I made on last week’s workshop. The cover has three folds, each with a signature of assorted sizes of paper, fabric, with different textures and patterns. The sections can be opened to show a variety of combinations of the various pages.

Had to do emergency repairs to my jeans. (The patch on the right.)

Experimental doodle stitching after a stressful day of concerns about my mother’s health. (We may be back to no immediate problem for now.)

A moth was flying around the dining room yesterday. I caught it in a yoghurt pot and took it outside. Apple says it’s a Large yellow Underwing. I snapped a phone photo before letting it go.

This is the dog six years ago, just after his leg operations. He had to have the harness with a back part to help him stand, and to be able to walk enough to go to the toilet. (You can provide support with a strap or towel, but it was wrecking my back!)

I recently looked at my step history on my phone. 2020 was when the dog had cruciate ligament surgery. But I do struggle with energy too, so I can’t claim that my activity levels would be anything to write home about. He does at least get me to go out.
