Yeah, the Void Cadet Gomez one is a little oblong, but it's more round than the Buzz Aldrin one, and I think I can get it to look enough like a fishbowl that it won't matter.

Mack Salmon, his head is a fishbowl with a talking fish in it.

After looking for a 1:12 scale fishbowl for a custom figure project for going on two years now, I finally hit upon the idea of instead looking for 1:12 scale astronaut bubble helmets! So much easier to find!

Can anyone help me track down the original artist who made this advertisement for Letratone? The piece is signed only 'Brooks'. Not sure what year it's from, but I'm guessing early to mid-80s. I'd love to put together some screenprints of it, or something like it.

One of my all-time favorite textures, LT-134. A real Memphis classic.

Splotchy black-and-white texture, very 80s.

I get it. Kind of like my kid can say she was in an episode of Portlandia when she was like 10

Screenshot from an episode of Portlandia with the back of my kid's head circled. I'm sitting to her right, we're watching a performance of Trek in the Park, a real thing that happened in PDX for five awesome years.

It just occurred to me that I was able to effectively include extra info on each page of my Make Your Own Minicomic, by fitting a couple lines of text in the margin of each page:

I'm sorry, but what the fuck was the thinking here?

A city tree, planted in a sidewalk tree spot surrounded by raised bricks and a small guard fence, except the patch of dirt has been completely paved over with poured concrete, the (presumably) living tree still sticking out of the middle right up through the concrete.

I would think that would make it SIMPLER.

This is cool, but I'd love to see either a reprint or a reboot (with new artists) of the Marvel Try-Out Books. It's been 30 years, time for another update!
