I am a black fucking hole of misery. You are in the black waters of a whirlpool, exhausted from trying to swim out, you feel you are drowning those who try to help, you are choking on water, & letting yourself slip away underneath the surface forever--where it is silent & calm--seems relaxing....

The thought of drinking manifests several times during these bouts, and if I had drank it would have meant full nihilism and 'turning myself into a ghost' to escape. I oft tell people as advice if they want to quit addiction, you have to love yourself enough to quit using. But I despise myself.

While one can have emotional euphoric "highs" and hence the "bipolar" name, they used to call it "manic depressive disorder," which is more accurate to me, anyway.

This sets off a bipolar episode for weeks. I can barely function. And I don't want to anymore, to be honest. The thing I wish people understood most about bipolar is it is not simply "mood swings."

I was unable to get my Hormone Replacement Therapy drugs. I involuntarily 'detransition,' and feel grosser, panicked, & more freaked out by the day as I lose my feminine traits, & begin to "fill out" into male again.

Had a place to crash, but if I had a vehicle, I'd have preferred to sleep in it cuz I felt so burdensome and unwanted. I deserved it. Hard to get a job w no phone or real permanent address. Hard to get a job if you are weird ass me, period. Asking for help guilts you further down an iou hole.

Put it this way: after my 4-year-old phone went out, I could not afford a new phone all summer, let alone the extra $ to pay the phone bill. W laptop & was able to access WiFi, but no phone for several months rewired my brain in that I don't really check messages for a day or 3. Music player lol.

What I mean is: while I am confident I will get to that 10 year number, I don't presume it. To paraphrase a friend: "I don't know if I will make it to ( x days/years) of not using, but I promise myself *today* I will not use." This last year is kind of sucked.

9 years of sobriety/Recovery today. Or, technically yesterday, but I haven't fallen asleep yet so it's today for me. It's an odd number as in not 'remarkable' like the first few years, or year 5 or 10 etc, but as such it's a reminder of the grand scheme of Recovery regarding *today.*
