Not my Japanese study book being sexist as fuck. A: Shimada-sensei is a woman but she has a big voice and eats a lot so she kinda seems like a man, doesn’t she? B: She’s a bit of a “manly” sensei, isn’t she. IM SCREAMING WTF

ADHD paralysis has pretty much taken over my life since I came back. I can’t seem to get myself to do a single thing. It really sucks because this is the only time I’ll have off but I need to allow my brain to allow me to do things. I can’t just force it or I’ll end up with more problems…

Hm. I don’t know if I just misheard my doctor but I’m pretty sure she just said I had to eat around 900kcal a day. Me: …I don’t think that’s possible. But I’ll try…?

The big Comiket is this weekend. I would go but it’s always so crowded…I’ll decide later if there are still tickets. I go to the much smaller ones cause I’d rather things be more focused on certain pairings or fandoms. Much easier to find the stuff you want than walking all over Tokyo big site

Ngl I think the circle of influence I’m in rn for Genshin is bad. I think I need to just separate myself from people who like this game too much? Because they’re seriously upsetting me with their opinions LOL

Also randomly watched the newest mortal kombat movie with karl urban? It was...ridiculously camp LOLOL even though they had like one or two jokes that I laughed at (anything with karl urban bringing up lotr is funny to me sorry) but it felt more like just a bunch of fight scenes twisted together.

Finished Payback I will say that it was really great except for that last episode? I haven't read the original but that felt way too rushed. More like 'we ran out of money' rather than a proper ending. It felt like Sun didn't get real closure and Jay just did everything in a CEO meeting...

I met a few foreigners working at the airport and one of them was new and he said slurred his arigatou in a way that was really casual and I laughed a bit and he looked so stricken LOLOL I get it tho he needs to be careful because he’s on the job but it was so cute hahaha

Incurable Obsession (Hime)🪞😴 @incurableobsession.bsky.social · 05/07/2026

You know what is very interesting about the JLPT testing in Japan? 95% of the people taking this test is POC (At least at my venue) Just an observation btw.

Incurable Obsession (Hime)🪞😴 @incurableobsession.bsky.social · 03/07/2026

I think there’s very little more I can learn in the next few days for this test and my brain has quit on me. So I guess I’ll just…see what I get.

I’m struggling to be creative lately, and it’s killing me. I prefer using my brain for things I care about, but I’m forced to study for this test. Thankfully, I won’t have to worry about it in two weeks.

010

Incurable Obsession (Hime)🪞😴 @incurableobsession.bsky.social · 20/06/2026

I should make a list of books you SHOULDN’T use for learning Japanese because most of these books I’ve bought do nothing to explain basic grammar properly. Thankfully I am much better at Japanese than these books so I’m just using them as review but god damn they’re awful at explaining.

Incurable Obsession (Hime)🪞😴 @incurableobsession.bsky.social · 19/06/2026

I have no idea why, but I have returned. My brain needs something new and twitter is too chaotic and filled with fandom stuff for me to talk about myself so here I am. First thing I want to say: the JLPT test is not meant for people with ADHD 😭😭😭😭 Though tbf most tests are not made for us…

As a person with ADHD if I don’t focus on five things at once I can’t get a single thing done. But when I’m in the zone, I can only focus on one thing and if you disturb me you will probably die.

My medication has been helping a lot. Like. A lot, a lot. I was able to keep my PDA in check today. A miracle since my students were the ones pushing it. I don’t think I’m fully over the hump, but I can tell that I’ve been better and that’s all that matters.

I think we should normalize not liking things because they are popular instead of people sitting there nitpicking and shitting on a work because they don’t like popular things. Legitimately. Just say “it’s too popular so meh” and move on ffs. If I can do it, so can you 👍

I’ve taken to just blocking people instead of continuing to argue with them. I dont have the time to deal with internet idiocy, so I think it’s better to walk away and never interact with them again. Indifference instead of continued annoyance. It’s been GREAT. Cultivate your own experiences 👍
