I agree. So so many examples like I Mother Earth across genres. Interestingly, many Canadian artists do better in Europe than the US.

It's not just Nashville. GREAT Canadian bands have always had a hard time cracking the American market, and when they do, nobody actually knows they're Canadian. Neil Young ... Joni Mitchell ... Leonard Cohen ... Gordon Lightfoot ...The Tragically Hip are the most glaring examples.

One of the most memorable concerts I've been to was Blue Rodeo and The Sadies in a big barn in Orangeville, Ontario - 30 years ago! Saw them again last week on Vancouver Island. I'm here to tell you, they still "got it".
