And of course LOKI. Aka Locutus of Joe. Named for...Loki, Norse God of Mischief and Locutus of Borg of Star Trek: The Next Generation.

A small black and tan Chihuahua sleeps against a blue blanket and colorful pillow. The tip of his tongue is out.

Tom Hiddleston as Loki from the Marvel Cinematic Universe. He faces the camera, wearing a big gold crown with bendy horns over flowing, shoulder length dark hair, and an outfit of black and green leather.

Patrick Stewart as Locutus of Borg from Star Trek: The Next Generation. He is bald with pale skin, black wires protrude from his face and neck, and he wears a black rubber-looking headpiece over part of his face. He is dressed in black, futuristic looking material.

Also...Spot. Named for Data's cat, Spot, on Star Trek: The Next Generation. The orange-iest of orange bois.

An orange tabby cat lays stretched out on a beige linoleum floor, looking at the camera. There are no thoughts, only ginger vibes behind his eyes.

Brent Spiner as Data from the television show "Star Trek: The Next Generation" holds a grumpy-looking orange cat, both face the camera. Data is wearing a gold and black uniform with a Delta-shaped pin over his heart.

Show me your pet(s) and who/what they’re named after. Flora Ripley Singer. Names for three complicated, resilient ladies from fiction: Fairy Godmother Flora, Ellen Ripley, Marla Singer.

A black and white tuxedo kitty sits against a beige carpet. Her front paws are tucked into a black slipper as she looks at the camera.

Flora the Fairy Godmother from the Disney animated movie "Sleeping Beauty". She is an older woman with chubby cheeks and grey hair, dressed in a red and gold dress and cape with a red pointed hat tied on with gold fabric. She carries a wand and has small reddish wings sprouting from her back

Sigourney Weaver as Ellen Ripley from the movie "Aliens". A woman with dark brown, shoulder length hair faces the camera. She is dressed in a grey-blue jump suit, on the left shoulder is a multi-colored patch with USCSS Nostromo embroidered in yellow thread.

Helena Bonham Carter as Marla Singer from the movie "Fight Club". A woman faces the camera, she is wearing dark sunglasses, a broad-brimmed hat, and a black coat exposing her upper chest and neck. She is holding a cigarette while exhaling a haze of smoke, a large black ring is on her middle finger.

First photo is Flora, 12yrs old and sassy. L to R in second photo: My Loki dog, Flora, & Spot on the back of the couch.

A black & white tuxedo cat looks at the camera while lounging on a pair of black slippers, their front paws are tucked into the closest slipper.

'The Night Circus' 🎪 is one of the most magical stories I have ever experienced, and honestly I was a little hesitant to start 'The Starless Sea' bc I didn't want to be disappointed if it didn't live up to Morgenstern's previous work. 2/3rds in and so far delightful.

Screenshot of the cover of "The Starless Sea" by Erin Morgenstern. Five gold filagree keys against a black background, white ribbon and silver chains are wrapped around and through the keys.

We're in the process of moving house (why does it take 84 years!?) and these kids were enjoying the night air and a view of the back porch last night.

Two cats sit in front of a screen door, a black and white tuxedo is to the right, looking up. An orange tabby is partially concealed by off-white curtains to the left, staring out into the night.
