Local country club has crest that nominally refers to the flag of Maryland but seems to uhhhh favor the Crossland Banner in a way that strains even the label “crypto racist”?

Nominally refers to the flag of Maryland but the red and white Crossland Banner seems to be choking out the yellow and black coat of arms of George Calvert, 1st Baron Baltimore, like kudzu or something
