It definitely looks fine. I like the art style. But like that style of metroidvania im a little bit jaded about. Like I havent even gotten into hollow knight even though I tried a couple of times

That new castlevania game looks a bit boring to me unfortunately. It kinda seems to be riding modern metroidvania conventions and like with the playthrough im watching it doesnt really look like it feels anything like castlevania or has remotely as good of an ost.

I played OoE last year and it has become one of my favorite games. I adore everything about it

Im very looking forward to the day switch 2 gets older and more wide open to jailbreak because like that will be a really cool for like n64 and up. But yeah with the analogue pocket I mostly stick to consoles before ps1

We started prototyping some bigger screen options this week with a new hardware revision that’s been in the works for a few months. The new screen is a big upgrade. We also started work on the GBA form factor with one of the new screens. FBGBA SP now boots in 2 seconds!

have you seen how he looks in that game he's built like a brick shithouse #castlevania

Art that's captioned "Castlevania protagonist sprites in the GBA/DS era" with a spritely twink underneath it and "Castlevania Bloodlines John Morris:" with a large truck of a man underneath it

with the sunsetting of decomp.dev, people really need to come to terms with just how much damage vibecoders have done to our community and OSS in general. encounter is a fellow dusklight dev and friend, and seeing people treat him as replaceable in the scene is upsetting.

No joke. I think this is the most important video I have ever seen about mobile games. This guy breaks down how this game psychologically profiles you, and makes the game harder or easier in order to show you ads

This is obviously in a retro cape comics setting where cops are depicted as capable and good but like this is crazy behavior regardless

At the very least I will say the Gwen's relationship with Peter never worked. They were extremely toxic to eachother and Gwen as a character was built as an obstacle for Peter. I think the death works because of this. I think them not working and Peters dishonesty is part of the tragedy.

My passion project got upgraded. We’ve been making a lot of progress on FPGBA SP. Yes, it plays real cartridges, and yes, I am considering a regular FPGBA version. I’m still trying to make this work for around $100.

I was expecting a kind of tacky level of horror themeing from it but nooo it goes all the way with it. Some of it was like really hard to look at. And the ways its using that to tell the origin of spider-man is like really good
