made my first custom brush ever out of pure annoyance that body hair brushes never do what i need them to before -> after

drawing of a big fat hairy man. Brush is a good style! but does not allow for ribboning, resulting in a messy portrayal of chest and stomach hair growth patterns. Brush used is available on Clip Studio Asset Store (Content ID：1970603)

Same drawing of the big fat hairy man using my own custom brush. Chest and stomach hair now follows a natural growth pattern due to a ribboning technique, and looks more intentional. YAY!!!!

OKAY I have uploaded it now! I couldn't spend any more time trying to figure out how to convert it for other programs, but I've included instructions on how to do that. Available for download on my site <3 ch1keng.carrd.co

Also next time I open commissions I want to try using VGen or Artistree. Or both an see what one works better for me? Hopefully I'll have some nice new art to use as refs by then!!

Surgery is scary! I'm glad you made it through without any complications! The first few days are always the hardest but you'll be surprised after a week or so how much better you will already feel! The human body is resilient and so is yours 💪

Asura's Wrath. Like genuinely one of my favorite story driven games. Its been so long that I actually dont know if its as good as I remembered it to be but xD I would just love a PC port of it tbh.

Forth- light and shadows. in black and white we made one piece of art and did 3 lightings on it. "Normal/Soft", Dramatic" and "Different"

010

Moog @immoogoom.bsky.social · 02/10/2025

this was extra credit art to make original art in Illustrator using geometric shapes. this was my actual first piece of art in the program lol

Moog @immoogoom.bsky.social · 02/10/2025

our instructor has been really wanting us to focus on shadows a lot too with the longer poses

Moog @immoogoom.bsky.social · 02/10/2025

this is when we first started working to charcoals and I really like the medium i think its my favorite so far we have worked with. Also this modals poses where grate I loved having her and Hope we get her again soon!

Moog @immoogoom.bsky.social · 02/10/2025

master copy practice we did when we didn't have a modal scheduled (He said we could take it home and finish it if we wanted and encouraged it so that was fun ^^ )

Last thread I'll make for this semester. Live Figure drawing! this will just be a thread compiling all the stuff I've drawn so far.

Third-Using straight lines ONLY with the Pen tool to capture light and shadows. she had us pic any ref image we wanted and go over it with straight lines to show the shadows and such. I was so brunt out after this one. I did enjoy doing really small short lines segments to capture rounded lines tho

Moog @immoogoom.bsky.social · 02/10/2025

Second- working with lines in Illustrator where we could only use the Pencil or Brush tool. I used a few refs to make this and a custom texture brush I found to make it looks like a piece of wood cut art! She said she didn't want us to use the fill tool so anything black is all scribbled in.

Moog @immoogoom.bsky.social · 02/10/2025

Don't tell anyone but I used clip studio for this one actually cuz I got too frustrated using Illustrator for the first time everything after this I've use Illustrator like I was instructed I promise

Moog @immoogoom.bsky.social · 02/10/2025

Another thread for more homework art. This is Introduction to Comp. Graphics. we only use Illustrator and I'm dying dude. First project was to recrate "The Poet” by Egon Schiele with geomatic shapes.

Third- color in cultural context. 1 was to take things we know as a very distinct color and change it. the other was to take any form of literature- for me i used song lyrics (Golden Dandelions by Barns Courtney) and make art representing it with colors or the colors in the literature

110

Moog @immoogoom.bsky.social · 02/10/2025

Second-color interaction to make one color look different . I was very set on the gold tooth and i think that was too my determent cuz it looks like the same color too me no matter what I put behind it or what kind of yellow I used.. but hey I still got a 100% on it at least so I cant complain lol

Moog @immoogoom.bsky.social · 18/09/2025

Ima start a thread for each of my classes artwork. So lets start with my color theory class! First assignment was complementary colors
