henlo I've been making a new game for a few months now. It's title is Don't Quit. It's a horror game about being lost and confused and not giving up no matter what. I'm taking my time with it. And I learned some new things while making it. I love making games 🖤

A Universe of Waves #pixelart #art
A nearly silhouetted astronaut in the center of the image, floating through space and in front of a bright light, with a background of stars and the inside view of a galaxy tilted to the side relative to the camera. The entire image has a rainbow gradient overlay, beginning with red in the bottom left corner and ending with magenta in the top right.

A Light in the Darkhouse (cw: cosmic horror) #pixelart #art
A grayscale pixel art scene at a Dutch angle, depicting a figure close to the bottom left of the image. They wear a hooded gray cloak, cape, and scarf, holding a bright lantern ahead of them in one armored hand, and in the other hand a glaive at the ready. They stand with an open doorway to the outside behind them, inside an otherwise completely dark room. Horrible tentacles all around the figure, and barely visible in the dark, wriggle towards them.

The Will to Everything

Made by Immanent Death

(On a black page, the newly entitled comic is written in a serif pixel font with a white to light gray gradient on the text, as is the author credit at the bottom of the page. Above the author credit, a subtle subpixel image of the gray figure looks up and holds up their lantern, now alight and softly glowing.)

“I will find my soul.”

(In the night sky, the gray light becomes colorful and brightens into the star-like point of light on the diamond ring of an eclipse.)

Immanent Death @immanentdeath.newgrounds.com · 07/04/2026
“It’s okay if it takes forever…”

(The gray light gets a little brighter. And this panel-sized landscape image is now shown to be a square-shaped bubble, as if “spoken” by a space probe with a satellite dish and other equipment, which now approaches the lunar module on its course through space.)

Immanent Death @immanentdeath.newgrounds.com · 07/04/2026
“I have to.”
“It’s the only thing I can do.”
“The only purpose I’ve ever had.”

(The figure turns to face the Darkhouse, and now a faint gray light can be seen up in the sky through the darkness.)
130
Immanent Death @immanentdeath.newgrounds.com · 07/04/2026
“I want to make art and music and stories and video games.”
“I want to do everything.”

(The figure has now reached the plateau, still facing away from the Darkhouse.)
140
Immanent Death @immanentdeath.newgrounds.com · 07/04/2026
“I want to create…”
“Look for meaning…”
“And lose myself in the cosmos.”

(The figure, still silhouetted, climbs up the rocky slope to a plateau, where across the lava sea the tower Darkhouse blots out the cloudy sky and everything else around it.)

Immanent Death @immanentdeath.newgrounds.com · 07/04/2026
(A single panel-sized picture on a black page. It depicts the silhouette of the gray figure, rising up out of the ocean of lava and on to the black shore. They are saying a phrase in logic symbols, an upside down T, a sideways T pointing to the right and with a line stricken through it, and an upside down A. “⊥⊬∀.”)

“Falsity does not prove anything.”
130
Immanent Death @immanentdeath.newgrounds.com · 07/04/2026
(The entire page now is black.)

“...And then I realized.”
“If something is wrong…” “...that doesn’t mean everything is.”
“Some things can’t be understood… and don’t have to be.”
“I am not okay… and… I will be okay.”

(Emphasis on “and.”)

Immanent Death @immanentdeath.newgrounds.com · 07/04/2026
“What if anything follows?”

(From further away, the entire tower is depicted in a charred rocky landscape, with a bubbling ocean of lava below it, and an erupting volcanic mountain behind. From over the horizon, unimaginably large tentacles reach up towards the tower, through the clouds underlit by the orange haze below, blocking and dimming nearly all stars in the sky. The top of the tower is emanating a sphere of darkness, which at its edges desaturate the color of everything around it, and nearer its source blot out everything entirely.)
140
Immanent Death @immanentdeath.newgrounds.com · 07/04/2026
“And my greatest fears devoured themselves.”

(The gray figure is now falling, having dropped their off lantern as well as a glaive, falling away from the night sky behind the top of an enormous brick castle tower looming over them.)
130
Immanent Death @immanentdeath.newgrounds.com · 07/04/2026
“I don’t "have no proof"...”
“I proved a contradiction.”

(As the spiral static fire twists around the speech bubble, it shows the astronaut facing another figure in a gray cloak and scarf, holding an extinguished lantern. There is another speech bubble above them, depicting a larger creature that only barely and vaguely resembles the gray figure with its otherwise horrible and evil features; countless tentacles instead of feet, a skeletal torso, clawed hands, a trident with 3 barbed sword blades, bat-like wings, a disproportionally large mouth and tongue with jagged teeth, empty gray eyes, twisted horns, and a knotted brown halo above its head.)
140
Immanent Death @immanentdeath.newgrounds.com · 07/04/2026
“I lost my soul.”

(There are no longer comic panels. Before the night sky, 2 halves of a computer monitor lean to either side, having been cut in half down the middle. Fire that appears as static noise with a black and white spiral pattern writhes out of each half of the broken screen. An armored figure in a black cloak hovers above, a black hole halo behind their hooded skull-shaped mask that cries lava. In one hand they hold a small fire, and in the other a huge scythe with a ram-horned dragon skull at the end of the staff where the blade protrudes from its jaw. The figure is speaking a black speech bubble.)

“When I don’t know what’s happening.”
“When I don’t know how to make sense.”
“When I don’t know what to do.”
“When I’m very, very tired.”

(The 4 panels now are entirely black. The first panel is otherwise normal, but the 2nd is slightly rotated, the 3rd is distorted even more, and the 4th panel is stretched diagonally into a thin pointed shape. The first 2 lines of text are each in the first 2 panels, but the 3rd line is slightly outside the 3rd panel, and the 4th line is at the bottom right of the page, and fades a little darker on the last 2 words.)

(The astronaut travels across the lunar landscape under the night sky.)

(They arrive at a lunar module, a geometrically-shaped spaceship standing on leg-like landing gear and equipped with several antennae.)

“Sometimes…”
“...I have to disappear for a while.”

(Once the astronaut is inside the lunar module, it takes off with rocket boosters and begins to fly upwards.)

(As seen from the darkened far side of the moon, the now distant lunar module leaves the moon behind and aims toward the Earth, still eclipsing the sun.)

untitled (cw: existential) #pixelart #art
(A lunar eclipse viewed from the moon. Among stars in the sky, the Earth is silhouetted against the orange glow of the sun behind it, while city lights are visible on the continents.)

(On the moon’s surface, a deep blood red in the shadow of the Earth, an astronaut stands and thinks a thought bubble of a lost signal icon.)

(Then they turn around and walk to the left.)

I finished a new pixel art comic that metaphorically depicts where I've been and, to me, has a lot of meaning. I just need to prepare it for release, and then you may consider its weirdness. After that, I want to start making a new game.
Two panels from the upcoming comic. The first is of an astronaut on a darkened, reddish moon, returning to their lunar module. The second is of a cloaked figure on a rocky ledge. Across an ocean of lava, there is a massive tower with a sphere of darkness emanating from the top, blotting out the dim cloudy sky.

As the lunar spacecraft returns to Earth during a lunar eclipse, a space probe slowly drifts towards you.

You see a planet in the sky above you, where a sphere of darkness emanates from a location on its surface, blotting out all color. You lose signal.

Once outside, you look up at the lighthouse behind you. It’s completely dark.

You go back down the stairs. The jukebox is playing silence. All the lights are off, except for just one over the blackboard, where the last logic statement written on it, “This sentence and its negation prove anything,” had been crossed out. You find your way back to the front door on the ground floor.

“I’m sorry.” (I feel wrong.) “Please don’t worry. I’ll be okay.” (How do I prove I’m not lying to myself? That I haven’t betrayed myself?) The galaxies in the sky slowly recede from view.

You walk up to the keeper, confused. He’s dressed in a gray cloak that completely hides him, and a small lantern sits on the floor next to him. He’s staring out the window, lost in thoughts within thoughts. Then he turns around and stares through you.

Before you is the lens of the lighthouse, an intricate glass structure shining in every wavelength of light. It’s so large, a railing prevents you from falling into the open area where the lens is held up by a mechanical pedestal. The light bulb inside the lens has an event horizon. The walls and ceiling of the room are all windows, and a deep field of galaxies is visible in the sky. Here the lighthouse’s signal is clearly displayed, in a frequency on the order of string vibration, a block of code that uses hypercomplex numbers and seems to loop forever without proof of any contradiction. And on the other side of this cosmic observatory, you see the lighthouse keeper.

You climb the last flight of stairs and enter the bright light pouring down from above.
100
Immanent Death @immanentdeath.newgrounds.com · 04/04/2025
On the next floor, a long row of arcade machines display published video games. There’s a jukebox playing chiptune, and on a side table is a book, which you sit down and read. In it, you’re imagining yourself.
110
Immanent Death @immanentdeath.newgrounds.com · 04/04/2025
The next floor has larger windows for a better view of the sky, and ambient light fixtures on the walls. Next to the stairway are bookshelves and file cabinets filled with folders and papers haphazardly organized, if organized at all. Some are in arbitrary stacks, and a few others lay scattered on the floor. The windows are covered in sticky notes.

There’s another desk with a typewriter and a Turing machine on it. You pick up a piece of paper, and read an infinity symbol, the Greek letter omega, and a double arrow pointing between them.

There’s also a blackboard with statements written in logic symbols. One reads, “This sentence has no proof.” Another says, “If this sentence has a proof, its negation has a shorter proof.” The last states, “This sentence and its negation prove anything.”

You go to the next stairway and hear music coming from above. Next to the stairs are a few unfinished arcade machines in various states of disrepair.

You find a lamp and turn it on, illuminating the room. The lamp is next to a laptop on a desk with an office chair in front of it. The windows behind the desk have blue curtains. You turn around and see what you had bumped into, a coffee table with a box of papers now scattered across the floor. There’s a picture frame right above the front door that simply reads, “i’m ok.” You look around and see an old telephone unplugged, and an empty bookshelf up against another door. You look up the stairs and see works of art along the wall.

Immanent Death @immanentdeath.newgrounds.com · 04/04/2025
The room is dark, and you can’t see anything at all. You flick the light switch, but it doesn’t work, and your own light is out of battery. So you stumble through the dark, and bump into something, knocking it onto the floor with a loud “thud.”

You find a stone path lit by a rainbow lamp post, and switch off your own light as you’re nearly out of battery. There’s a sign that has a home icon and an arrow pointing further down the path. You follow it, and soon after you’ve left the lamp post turns off.
