Anyway I really hope that yaoi rave group doesn’t use the yaoi con name for their convention. They have nothing to do with the OG yaoi con and the runners keep doubling down on saying “we never said fujoshi aren’t welcome we just said it’s run by gay/queer people and won’t be fujoshi themed”
![screenshot of a instagram conversation that reads: [privacy censor bar'd person] "Rename your event that makes it more obvious what your "target audience" is what you're looking for. Yaoi Con will always be for fujo/fudan/fujins who are ALSO QUEER. I'm a veteran attendee and staff of the original yaoi con, please do not trample on the fans."
yaoi.con: "Our "target audience" is anybody who enjoys Yaoi & bara, nowhere did we ever state fujoshis aren't welcome, we simply stated this isn't a fujoshi themed convention."](https://cdn.bsky.app/img/feed_thumbnail/plain/did:plc:tmgkmnjojezf4oshczb6nsjk/bafkreickie27q7it6d5naxyxkgsaxhmpuieqvfq3aj7jobj562377dizzy)
