And just tonight, 100%ed Animal Well! ...at least as far as Steam is concerned. There's so much hidden content in this game it makes my head spin But holy FUCK this game is good.

Off stream, 100%ed Cavern of Dreams! A cute, Rareware-inspired 3D platformer. Just a bit shy of 7 hours game time A good and perfectly competent game in a niche already full of fantastic games like Corn Kidz 64, it doesn't quite do enough to set itself apart

A few games I've beaten recently: On stream, Super Metroid! Truly loved it, and despite lacking the added mechanical polish of Fusion and Zero Mission, proved why it's an enduring classic

Really enjoyed Aura: Fate of the Ages today! Lots of plebs (steam reviewers) complain that the game is obtuse and the puzzles are illogical, but so far at least, I really couldn't disagree more They're not Cyan-level puzzles, but they have character and good internal logic

Riven: A remake that takes the plot beats and bones of the original and improves upon it in practically every metric. Puzzles are better (especially in that the leaps of logic in the OG are gone), the 3D presentation improves spatial awareness, and ties plot details up better IMHO

Alright everyone, now that I've beaten the Riven Remake, let me lay down where each remake stands versus the originals: Myst: Refreshing with a little randomization for fans, overall neither a better or worse experience than Masterpiece Edition or RealMyst, just more accessible

after days of grifters and con men at CES we stumbled upon the booth for VLC. they were all dressed as wizards and told us, "we have nothing to sell, we just decided to show up". i told them I'd been using their software to pirate media for 15 years and they said "keep doing that"

Thanks for coming by today, everyone! We ended up playing the Riven Remake which still blows me away in how much it transcends the original If you like puzzle games, you should play the Riven Remake :3

The "shot through the back window of a car" vibes you can get shooting into the sun in this game is immaculate Blurry, low-contrast, tons of (fake) lens flare and dirt, just feels so right ^-^

It's over! Lifeline is... a one-of-a-kind game. Fantastic presentation for its era, but a gameplay gimmick that simply didn't have enough tech behind it to work right. And my recognition rate was WAY better than most people!
