*Doing my best informercial impression* But wait, there's more! ImgCat also has a sliding scale for how much you want to see particular categories. In the mood for cat pictures? Dial Animals up to Much More. Want to see the communities creativity? Toggle up Artists, Creators, and Original Content

Screenshot of the Content Weights settings, allowing users to toggle topics such as News and Current Events, Politics and opinions, Artists/Creators/Original Content, Selfies/Body Pics, Animals, and AI from None to Less, More, and Much More

While some may say letting Pod (me) have access to the bsky account was a bad idea because she immediately misplaced her login credentials, others may see a silver lining that at least she wasn't able to spam update posts until there were screenshots from testing the content settings available

Going to drop the discord link here in case it got buried on our profile and folks are interested in joining- especially since I (Pod) have done a spectacularly poor job of posting updates consistently here on bsky:) discord.gg/dFHkDuVK

Talk is cheap, actions show intent: Imgcat has already registered as a non-profit, brought on a team of seasoned moderators from multiple sites to build a community focused framework, and begun building a network of like-minded groups rejecting the relentless enshitification of the web.

Our approach is not just a new website, but a user-led community and sustainable non-profit business structure that keeps us honest and transparent. The ImgCat ethos is: do better, because you deserve respect, and a warm & welcoming community that we can all call home.

Ever been so disillusioned by how a site treats its users that you share a post about a project you started, and a month later it has become a grassroots effort to reshape what it means to be a social media platform?
