was looking through old photos on my phone and having a great time doing it, until i found these screenshots of messages from my ex shortly after i left him, that he sent to A GROUP CHAT of all things, and all i can think is "thank god i got out of there"

$I have so many words I want to say. For the past several weeks, I've erased more text than I have in the entire time I've ever owned a phone. The moment I make a single comment, shit hits the fan for me. I can't speak anymore and I hate it. I have a billion emotions and thoughts coursing through me, and all I want to do is scream at the top of my fucking lungs with violently throwing my body around and breaking everything around me! My mind is a ticking time bomb full of emotions and all kinds of things. If I ever decided one day not to hold back, not to control myself, not to keep my inner beast at bay... The passion...the unbridled fury....the love...the hate...all of it, unmeasurable. All I have ever wanted is to be happy and in turn make someone else happy. can definitely tell her lyricism has improved especially on hate that I made you love me & petal
I mean she's obviously singing about romantic heartbreak on some of these tracks but I'm also getting like a really complex relationship with fame & like the heartbreak she experiences as a result of her status & fame--not necessarily romantic heartbreak but still heartbreak all the same
like I think you could read this whole album as a metaphor in that sense, she's in a codependent relationship with fame itself--listening to it from that lens puts a LOT of other songs on the album into a whole different perspective, esp like i do
I also feel that her albums have grown to be much more cohesive works of art rather than just like a random collection of songs that are all kinda similar sonically and/or thematically (which is more common in pop music I think)
