Every time I visit my parents I see this brush my father's had since his culinary school days. It's lost a good portion of its bristles, is supported by cardboard on both sides, and is almost the same age as the First Born (approx. 35ish years).

A basting brush from eons ago with a piece of discolored cardboard wedged in on either side.
