Tabouli loves boxes like most cats do. It still amuses me that she has a very deep interest in in boxes of all sizes and conditions.

Cyclist being killed on the road is a bioindicator about the general safety of the road for all. These death numbers should be a three alarm fire for everyone.

Those overall numbers do not tell the full story. In the United States – according to new 2023 data hyperlinked but not discussed in this press release – cyclist deaths increased from a record 1,105 in 2022 (revised up to 1,117 in the latest data) to a new record of 1,166 in 2024, an increase of 4.4% or 5.5% depending upon which 2022 number you use. Since an all-time reported low of 623 bicyclist deaths in 2010, we’ve seen an 87% increase in bicyclist deaths with consecutive all-time records for the most deaths in the last two years of available data.

The company sent two shirts in what was a one shirt order. I am sure staff was working furiously to get these shirts out. Anyway, I have one for more "dressy" occasions and one for exercise. My exercise one is fading nicely. I mean it's not a competition. We both have nice faded shirts!

The shirts, AGAIN, but this time there are two and one has lost its flowing orange color.

Library got a new bike rack, unfortunately

A bike that is locked sideways on a bike rack because the other way is to lock your tire to the rack and that doesn't work well. I will say it would have probably been fine if I had just left my bike unlocked, but is it too much to ask for a real bike rack.

This is sad. I wonder why they have to give Mylo away. If it's because of how unaffordable it is to have a pet or do to housing that's a real failure on the part of society.
