I went grocery shopping today. Bananas - Guatemala. Red Wine Vinegar - Italy. Oilve Oil - Spain. Granola - Germany. Lentils - Canada. Ginger - China. Sunflower seeds - Bulgaria. Grapes - Chile. Vanilla - Madagascar. All this is going to cost more thanks to the felon's tariffs.

I can't find any in-network providers for gender affirming care for my adult kiddo. It's almost like insurance companies don't want them to get care. So, out-of-network it is. And I don't understand why a primary care physician can't just order labs and prescribe meds.

Chickies spent a couple of hours in their chicken run this afternoon while I worked in the garden. They loved it. I'll start taking them out there for a couple of hours each day. I've also purchased them a bigger pen for the house until they can go out full time.

Guys, I'm a new chicken mama. Their covered run is finished and I have their automatic door to put in their coop. The little guys will be in the house for the next few weeks. We're excited to watch them grow. These will be much loved pets and live out their natural lives here.

The boys are so excited to be in a basic double after being in a prevue cage for a couple of days during introductions. All is going well and we'll add more things and open other sections if they all continue to get along.

I finally finished up taxes and I owe $1600. I've never owed before and nothing much changed. I'm fucking over being broke. Life is too damn expensive. I also did my son's taxes and he owed too. The only one that didn't owe was my daughter because she didn't make enough to even pay taxes.

Nice thing about adult kids is they make everyone lunch. Kiddo made spaghetti with vegan alfredo sauce and homegrown basil. We're not vegans but just prefer this to regular alfredo sauce. It's healthier too.

My veggie garden and chicken pen are coming along. My son ran the fencing on the right this morning. And more progress was made on the chicken run at the weekend. Yes, it's a fence within a fence because we need to keep the dogs out.

First time checking on Dee's babies since we cleaned her cage at the weekend. The babies are getting their fur. Next week their eyes should be open. Dee is taking good care of her babies and has them barricaded in her house away from prying eyes.
