Thank you! 🫂 I did expect that French documents would be a trouble, but to be honest I didn't expect this much trouble >.< We sent tons of paperwork to the Prefecture with the help of the lawyers, only to be rejected after a year of sending papers back and forth :c

Long story short: I’m an asylum seeker in France now. I don’t know how long this process will take, but for I still can’t officially work here. So I’m looking for any opportunity to earn money to be able to pay for rent and food. Please, read and share this post ❤️‍🩹 ko-fi.com/illustory

WE NEED HELP
Please, read and share this!
(text version of the pics above)
We are a group of queer artists, and we are in big trouble.
In April 2025, we immigrated to France, seeking a safe place to live and make art.
Our humanitarian visas expired a year ago.
Since then, we have been trying to get legal status in France.
To be able to work, open a bank account, get health insurance and just have some basic human rights.
We spent a whole year fighting for our lives against Strasbourg Prefecture and we lost.

All this time we couldn't properly work, so we were burning our savings.
In August, all three of us were denied a residence permit.
According to the Prefecture, the only option for us To stay legally in France is to become asylum seekers.
About a week ago, we sent out our applications for the asylum.
Now we are looking at another indefinite stretch of time, before we are summoned to Paris for interviews.
It might be two months, three months, half of a year or even more... no one knows for sure.

We had planned for a year without documents max, and now it's been a year and a half already.
No matter how hard we tried to stretch our savings, they have run out.
Currently, we don't have enough money to pay for rent and food in November.
It's hard for me to admit that, but we are in huge trouble, with all our hopes and plans ruined by the French bureaucracy.
We really need your help and every little bit matters, so I came up with some options for how you can support us.

Thank you! 🫂 I just wish I could be more present and share some good things too. Not disappearing for months and then coming up with bad news again. I want to have some good news for a change 😅

Thank you! 🫂 Well, I'm in quite a big trouble, and the result may be either really good, or kinda catastrophic :D I just didn't expect this turn of events! I hope I will be able to tell you more details soon.

Punching dots trend is fun! ✨ Good Omens fanarts are perfect for this :з I may have spent a whole evening playing with these dots 🫪

Thank you! ❤️‍🩹 I really didn't expect that my very obviously hand drawn art would be accused of being AI-generated. It's just so absurd 🤯

010

Illustory 🌈✨ @illustoryart.bsky.social · 20/07/2026

Actually I would be very happy, if all AI content was labeled with an option to never see it again. But their current method of AI recognition is clearly not working, so it does more harm than good 😒

031

Illustory 🌈✨ @illustoryart.bsky.social · 20/07/2026

I really hope I've opted out of this, but it's not like we are ever going to know, what was fed into the slop abyss >.< It will take a lot of time before they begin to consider real users preferences.

031

Illustory 🌈✨ @illustoryart.bsky.social · 20/07/2026

Meta is awful for artists 🤬 I already see a lot of similar complaints from other artists on my TL. Feels like Meta wants to erase the line between real artists and AI prompters.

040

Illustory 🌈✨ @illustoryart.bsky.social · 20/07/2026

I do use Photoshop for resizing and cropping when I prepare images for social media. But I do it almost for every post, so this won't explain why these exact artworks were labeled, and everything else was not 🥲

010

Illustory 🌈✨ @illustoryart.bsky.social · 20/07/2026

I need to scream into the void :c Instagram labeled at least 4 of my TRADITIONAL ARTWORKS as "Made with AI" 💀 It's so stupid and offensive! What's even worse, there are literally no options to make an appeal. Some dumb AI bot is putting these labels randomly and that's it. I hate AI so much 🤢

I love to draw Crowley and Aziraphale cuddling, hugging and just being close to each other ❤️‍🩹 I don't think they ever got enough of this to make amends for 6000 years of hiding their feelings :c
