of course! the fibers present differently. What starts as a simple exercise of not wasting (inherently good) opens up a fresh vista with new challenges. My daughter uses the reverse sides of old work for sketching and color testing before committing to a wip, so there's that too.

that's interesting, watercolor changes the shape and texture of the paper, it becomes subtly less 2-dimensional … painting behind the obverse opens up opportunities that elude the clean flat virginal paper.

its mournful anguished cry
it was the cause and effect
the woe of its animality.

who but Theseus called to defy
tenacious and bold this Minotaur
kill the beast and so thereby

the fog in the maze as we walk away
