Today marks the 6-month anniversary of the release of my novel, The Halter, and I couldn’t be happier with its reception. Thanks to all my readers, past, present and future. And to Assassins Creed fans hungry for more near-future Sci-Fi simulation craziness, this is your new obsession.

One really, really cool trait to add to a potential Nightmare/Corsair/Dread Pirate/whatever difficulty in Resynced -- the harder-than-hard difficulty that always ships post-launch in these, is to do with the whole enemy-adaptation mechanic they have going on:

A lot of cool this with AC:BFR! Still it’s hiding a lot of things. Can’t wait to see the full package down the line.

Playing Crimson Desert in Korean is the way. I found the English VO being superficial which is weird.

000

Ikraik (Nikhil) @ikraik.bsky.social · 18/04/2026

So.. I finished it within 25 minutes but holy it is fun and slow paced! Played it in Japanese and preferred it that way. Very swift gameplay and not as clunky or daunting as I thought. Will give it a try. Platforming needs some work since while it made sense it had particular holds. Nonetheless fun!

Ikraik (Nikhil) @ikraik.bsky.social · 18/04/2026
