Long time no see! In this illustration i try to put down what memories are. For me it's like the swirling warped world reflected on translucent soap bubbles, so beautiful but fragile... and transcient. #illustration #art #memory

For the past few weeks I've been working on new pieces to improve my portfolio and look for representation. I reaaaally want to be represented by Cat Agency (since Heart Agency is already impossible for someone like me) their artists all got super cool book projects

I tried to simplify my drawing process lately and applied it to this character design draft for a book project. I liked how it came out :) #characterdesign #kidlitart #picturebook #childrensbook

On chapter 10 now, things were building up slowly but I can tell that it's all 160 pages of calm before the storm. Coupled with how I stupidly read the forbidden definitely-not-glossary page, this dread I'm feeling is really killing me and flipping over the next page so heavy 😭

I stupidly read RF Kuang's Babel's last page thingking it was a glossary. It was not and now I'm a mess and utterly devastated 😔

Working on embroideries has been quite a hobby of mine for a few months now. A few stitches later I realize I'm approaching it like I would colored pencil on paper #embroidery #stichwork

Do you like to PARTY? These dinos sure do. Maybe they went extinct from too many crazy nights. I prefer a quiet evening. I’m Mark Hoffmann, a kidlit author/illustrator, rep’d by Jenn Laughran @literaticat.bsky.social w/ @andreabrownlit.bsky.social #kidlitartpostcard #kidlit #kidlitart

Happy #kidlitartpostcard day - and early Valentine's day too! I'm Nicole Allin, a kidlit illustrator from the Pacific Northwest, currently seeking representation. My favorite part of Valentine's Day is definitely the chocolate- what's yours? #kidlitart #kidlit

Thanks to all who have been helping boost my KidLit Illustrators Seeking Representation thread. Shortlink: debbieohi.link/illustrators... I've also created this QR code graphic, which I am sharing on other platforms. #KidLitArt

Text reads: "Agents! Looking for children's book illustrators seeking representation? Browse this thread on Bluesky! Handwritten header text reads: "KidLit Illustrators Seeking Representation". Illustration shows a QR code and a small purple artist blob creature wearing an artist beret and holding up a paintbrush.

The "The Sandman" audiobook/audio drama is a masterpiece. I've shown so many people the intro of "A Hope in Hell", and everyone is really impressed by the sound production. The cast is also top notch. Can't recommend it enough.

2023 was filled with rejections left and right, in and out. 2024 would still have a lot of failures and no's in stock for me, I guess, and it's super scary but bring it on ❤️‍🔥

Illustrations about local tradition in Western Sumatra Island called 'Pacu Jawi', or a cow race. Everyone would gather to celebrate rice harvest, with the race held on empty ricefields. The event is filled with music, dances, and well, a lot of mud splashes! #illustration #kidlitart #picturebook

My #inktober first week entries! I've been experimenting with custom brushes to achieve a soft pastel meets watercolor transparency look. Well, it was a messy beginning! I watched a number of plein air painters' videos to learn how they put paint on paper. It was tough but fun to learn!
