Look some people think HP would be improved if it had an enemies to lovers story with a blonde tsundere running in the background of the 7 books with an ending of them using Malfoy's wand together. Would it actually? Eh whatever.

Separately I think a lot of people are sleeping on how popular HP still is, especially in East Asia with its multiple HP parks www.japantimes.co.jp/life/2025/12...

Eh the originating artist is from the Russian far East and is capable of speaking English, he is likely tangentially aware. But like this Taiwanese artist making a post about his preference for the design having a 5head or whatever the fuck Hitler here is saying are disconnected from that.

Excuse me, the proper spelling is botes.

Anyway here's my pictures of The Sullivans and Little Rock from when I was in Buffalo a few months back.

Iirc most Kriegsmarine AL characters tend towards black with red outfits with mean looking mechanical shark bits for the ship parts

HNLMS Gouden Leeuw, meant to be a version of the Dutch Design 1047 battlecruisers as depicted in the game World of Warships (hence the logo top left). Design wise she is extremely similar to Celestine Lucross from the hentai series Kuroinu.

That one long ago degenerated into just being softcore porn Which I mean I can still appreciate but like they clearly don't know what to do with the whole shipgirl thing other than it allows for a harem scenario for the player

There are legitimately like 8 of them which do you mean.

Nothing in particular other than showing that HP has a lot of fanfics mainly focused on character relationships, but I wasn't making a point with it.

I was more trying to describe it in a neutral manner within a character limit rather than deny anything happened.

Oh yeah also the artist that started the trend posting this means it's RW because yuri is liberal or something

REDTEN on twitter saying
"I drew this to make guys yearn again. Sorry, but stop asking me to turn it into yuri or something.
A few people won't shut up in my dms about how great it would be if she were trans.
1) Don't be annoying, I will block you.
2) That just wouldn't work."

Rowling why the fuck is this the only thing you talk about ever

000

The source reason is Rowling and also the controversy that occurred around Hogwarts Legacy. More recently the artist yunayu leaving site after posting a female Malfoy and being told to delete it but then reuploading on twitter is also used as a RW victory narrative.

Not offbase at all, a lot of it is just drawing horny art of a character that is either a pre-teen or teenager.

Yeah especially the early year examples. I've also seen some art that just looks Asuna from Blue Archive in the Slytherin uniform and some people think Rin from FS/N is an apt comparison in terms of personality and MC relationship. Largely it's just an excuse to draw a HP themed blonde.

Though I say fanart trend but a bunch of the images are just unmarked and not obvious AI slop gens.

240

Part of it is also just East Asians being really into Harry Potter and have been for decades now. The fact that there hasn't been a HP fanart trend that popped off online is more surprising honestly. (Also ironic given HP's influence on anime).

Carryover and expansion of the Hogwarts Legacy controversy because of Rowling's known stances. The concept has existed for years and East Asians just seem to be drawing a cute blonde girl (no clue what their discourse actually is right now).

JK Rowling celebrates with a cigar and a drink after UK Supreme court rules trans women are not legally women.

It's more true than you ever wanted to know.

Paragraphs from the writer of Familiar of Zero where he states his attraction for Hermione.

Hermione is a clever girl from a middle class family who's the smartest and best student in her whole generation but is constantly being underestimated by her friends and unfairly targeted by bullies. That *is* Rowling's self image.

Joanne Rowling's Wikipedia article stating: "Rowling's secondary school was Wyedean School and College, a state school she began attending at the age of eleven and where she was bullied."

020

Hermione herself is basically Rowling's self-insert character for an extra level of weirdness to all this.

290

Yeah I've seen some commentary that making Malfoy into a classic tsundere at a magic school from a prestigious family just makes her Louise from Familiar of Zero, which is ironic given the character was mainly inspired by the author's desire to be Hermione's chair (he's dead btw).

Familiar of Zero Light Novel cover with Louise.
