I've been studying about and occasionally tracking white supremacist groups since 1987. Used to go to a gun range in Bellefonte(PA) where the klan met at a time when PA had the highest amount of registered hate group members. Worked with cops from multiple depts. I'm just being cute about it.

Add in the fact many folks don't factor in that we get paid less than white male counterparts and still expect folks to shell out big money for stuff. My wines are mostly $12-20. I do have a big boy around $54. Many folks trying to get $25-44 (and more) for entry level wines with no pedigrees

Some folks aren't drinking alcohol (health/lifestyle), some are doing weed/edibles. Older buyers are dying off. Selling one thing (canned cocktails, malted stuff like twisted tea, thcinfused wine) is destroying sales in other things. It's a shit show and big boys focus only on net profits

Biggest downturn in decades. Big companies are laying off staff and closing facilities. This is before tariffs and inflation. Folks have been selling off brands and portfolios for the past few years. Some things have had their time and now its over, especially vodka, whiskey and tequila

When I talk with a few other Black folks in the biz, the discussion plays out regarding folks expectations. If you think you're going to make millions and live large, this ain't for you. Also, too many Black brands with lying owners trying to charge folks way more than what stuff is worth.

That's the thing, based on the mistakes they made, would someone trust her with another brand? She'd have to reign in ego and produce less and make it cost less. Go slow and steady. Not expect millions in profit annually. Not everyone is cut out to do that.

Even brands like Svedka (vodka) which is inexpensive are shuttering She got people not in the know to believe hype that to others was in the past or didn't make sense. Drinkers really don't care about awards, just taste and price; not all are buying $50 bottles all the time.
