I have once again been nerd-sniped by @lpil.uk into writing a Gleam package. This time, it's a lightweight, high-perf client for Redis-compatible databases, called Valkyrie! The library includes a connection pool, and has been tested against Redis, Valkey, KeyDB and Dragonfly.

For those who don't really get why creators are making a big deal of the whole Honey drama, 91.8% of my income this year (excluding refunds) has been from affiliate revenue. If Honey worked on the sites I'm affiliated with, I probably would've lost thousands.

I travelled to my parents by electric assist bicycle this Christmas. It was really fun and satisfactory practical! Give it a go! Cycling is fantastic for the body and the local community.

honestly, one of my favorite things about gleam is the namespace separation i can have a module, function, and variable all named "grid" and not run into name conflict issues that, on top of variable shadowing, makes naming things so... fearless
