An illustration I made of a friend's D&D character for our Curse of Strahd campaign! This is Ynger, his Aasimar Paladin 👼 #OC #OCart #dnd #dndoc #dndart #curseofstrahd
Illustration of a D&D character, an Aasimar (Angelic) Paladin called Ynger.
Ynger has light brown skin, silver-white hair and eyes, and white angelic wings. He's dressed in ocher trousers, leather gloves and boots, and a yellow tunic under which he's wearing chain mail armor that is only visible on his arms. He's standing upright, holding his longsword in both hands with the blade pointing down, raising the pommel up to his chin, as if in a solemn vow or prayer. Behind him is his kite shield, which has a teal inner-lining and whose narrow end is buried on a patch of muddy grass (on which Ynger is also standing). The ground disappears behind him and into an ornamental rhombus shape with a golden border.
The illustration has an abstract backdrop in purple, with a swirling hatching pattern on low opacity. Behind Ynger, right on top of his head a text reads "The Hopeful Devout" in yellow letters.

I designed this cover two years ago for my portfolio, and it's still one of my favorite pieces. Mistakes were made then (I didn't quite account for trim size, and I didn't make the spine at all) 😅 but I've learned since! #booksky #bookart #bookcover #coverart #fantasyart
Front and back cover illustrations for a portfolio piece, titled "The Fey Adventures of Dorica Charming".
Inspired by Art Nouveau, the covers are ornamented in organic designs in yellows, greens and magentas. The back cover features an illustration of a young witch apprentice, the eponymous Dorica.

I was not happy with my previous drawing of this guy so I made him again 🫠 I'm much happier with this version, though I still haven't figured out his ghost companion. This is my character for a Curse of Strahd campaign I'm playing with friends! #OC #dnd #dndoc #dndart #curseofstrahd
Drawing of my D&D character for a Curse of Strahd campaign.
He's a lanky figure, dressed in torn gray robes and a cape flowing behind him, his hood raised up. He's holding up his right arm which, like his face, is bandaged. Little more than his violet eyes and some locks of black hair peek through his bandaged head.

Drawing my D&D character for a Curse of Strahd campaign I'm playing with friends. He's a human/reborn (still haven't decided) Invoker, which is a homebrew class I'm designing. Sort of like in the middle between a wizard and a cleric!
A black and white drawing featuring a fantasy character wearing long, tattered robes and cloak. A magician of sorts. He has the cloak's hood up, and his head is mostly bandaged except for the right side of his face, leaving his eye and ear uncovered.
His arms are also bandaged. On his right arm he's carrying a big old scroll, and with his left hand he's grabbing at his cloak.

Hello! 🌺 #PortfolioDay I’m Ignacio, a freelance illustrator who loves fantasy and adventure stories. I’d love to illustrate covers, interior illustrations, and character designs! I’m presently available for projects, and I’m also seeking representation! 📧 ignacio@igmanee.art 🔗 www.igmanee.art
On the top, a cover design for a personal project. Inspired by Art Nouveau, both the front and back covers use heavy ornamentation, very organic in style. On the front cover’s center is the book’s title “The Fey Adventures of Dorica Charming”. On the back cover is an illustration of the protagonist, surrounded by nature.

On the bottom, the character design of the protagonist (the witch apprentice Dorica). There’s a full body illustration of the character and three facial expressions. Dorica is a red headed girl; she wears a brown dress over which she has a green overdress, and a green hat.On the top, a full spread illustration, featuring a fantasy house in the woods. The text is on the left side of the page, on top of which is a spot illustration of a fairy, and on the bottom there’s another spot illustration but of Dorica, the protagonist of the story.

On the bottom, there’s another spread. On the left page, there are three spot illustrations interspersed with the text: one of a fairy, another of a circle of mushrooms, and a tiny one of a poppy. On the right page, there’s a full page illustration of Dorica casting a spell. On the top, there’s a cover design for a personal project, a retelling of Hansel & Gretel. The color palette is primarily greens and yellows.

On the bottom, there’s the character designs for the children and the witch.

Here are the character designs for this project!
Character designs for Hansel and Gretel. The artwork has digital lineart emulating traditional inking, and is colored exclusively in shades of green.

Hansel (on the left) is depicted as a short boy with a suspicious look. He has curly hair and wears old and patched clothes: a turtleneck sweater, shorts held up by suspenders, and black shoes with thick white socks underneath.

Gretel (on the right) is depicted as a taller girl with a worried look. She has her hair in two braids and wears an old dress that falls just below her knees, with a frayed hem. She also wears black shoes, with thick white socks and stripped stockings.Character designs for the witch from Hansel & Gretel. The artwork has digital lineart emulating traditional inking, and is colored exclusively in shades of green.

The witch is depicted as a hunched old woman in a long dark green dress. The dress has black feather-like details, and the torso is beaded. On the neck she wears a ruff collar, her shoes are black with big buckles, and on her left hand she has a long walking staff. Her hair is styled in two upward braids that look like horns.

Here it is! finally finished 🌺 Took my longer than I'd have liked, but now that it's done I can finally upload it to my portfolio and start looking for actual projects 😅 #artpost #fantasyart #digitalart #fairytale #coverart #kidlit #picturebook
Cover art for a mock retelling of Hansel & Gretel for my portfolio.
The overall image uses a yellow and green color palette.

On the right is the front cover, showing the title and author name in yellow letters, colored to look like polished gold or brass. On the center of the composition are the two kids (Hansel and Gretel) sitting on top of an open venus fly trap, dripping yellow syrup/honey. Between the kids is the candy house from the story, which from the roof is dripping this syrup.

On the left is the back cover. The text is there for composition purposes and says nothing, it is a simple "Lorem Ipsum...". In the middle of the image is a symmetrical design of a pitcher plant (another type of carnivorous plant), with four pitchers hanging from its leaves.

Both the front and back covers are framed on their inner and outer margins by an organic "filigree" design that runs from top to bottom in a pattern, showing elements such as peppermint candies, branches, mint leaves and birds. All gold/brass colored.

currently working on my portfolio and decided to make a mock retelling of Hansel & Gretel! here's a WIP of the covers for the "book", next i'm gonna do the inks/lineart 🌺 (Reuploaded to fix the alt text) #artpost #fantasyart #digitalart #fairytale #coverart #kidlit #picturebook
Mock cover for a retelling of "Hansel & Gretel".
On the right is the front cover, showing two children (Hansel and Gretel) sitting next to a gingerbread house, which they are eating. The children are looking at the reader with a troubled expression. Both children and the house are on top of a giant, open venus fly trap to allude to what's going to happen to them in the story.
On the left is the back cover, showing what would be the book's summary, and under the text block is an illustration of a pitcher plant (with four pitchers arranged symmetrically) to again convey the idea of the children being lured to a trap.

i'm still trying to figure out how social media works... i feel kinda dumb cuz i'm from the generation that supposedly grew up with the internet (before it all went to shit) yet i never learned how to interact with people on the internet 😅 anyway, have some old art...
Character design of a half-naked "snake" man. Imagine Tarzan, but green, with long purple hair, and edgy.Character design of a half-naked "snake" man. Imagine Tarzan, but green, with long purple hair, and edgy.

Was doing some personal work today and after I was done and having dinner in the kitchen, some ineffable power took over me and whispered dark secrets into my mind. I quickly ran back to my pc and I shit you not, I suddenly could draw folds. #artpost #fantasyart #fairytale #digitalart
Drawing of two children sleeping by the roots of a tree, wrapped in a horribly drawn blanket.Same drawing as the previous image, but now the blanket is properly drawn with better looking folds, thanks to the dark secrets bestowed upon me.
