My average follows per Twitch stream lately is anywhere between 0-2, and 2+ is quite rare Earlier I had a stream on Altstream & got 20 in a shorter timeframe than my usual streams, discoverability actually exists there Granted, smaller platform so less streamers by a large margin but still

Currently, Hasbro’s guidelines keep us from having total ownership over the work we make in our free time. Our union aims to change that and ensure we own what we make in our free time. actionnetwork.org/forms/uwotcp...

“Currently, if an employee makes anything creative in their free time, with their own resources, Hasbro can claim ownership.

What we do in our free time should not be dictated by the company, and what we make in our free time should belong to us.”

it does not have vods no, they'd need tons of storage infrastructure to store them which as a lower budget small team they just don't have & have you seen the price of storage these days?

Continuing my playthrough of Soul Blazer on AltStream, just chill vibes, no worrying about viewership, averages, etc. Just streaming the way I enjoy it ♥ Feel free to pop by anytime for the next couple hours from posting altstream.online/iggymaid

soulblazer cover art with the title in a yellow to red gradient with a sword underlining it against a rocky blue landscape at night with a green castle perched atop the rocks, the background is cloudy with dark nearly black clouds at the top transitioning the more pink clouds toward the bottom

With the work Ashe, Mara, & Myoukochou are doing, I'd say they are all worth more than multiple staff at Twitch given they are very hands on, engaging with the community, and reject vibe coding

I've really enjoyed my time streaming over at AltStream, definitely going to do more there. It's nice to not have to worry about analytics & the sites rate of growth has been astounding for basically being nearly solo coded with two other people helping with other aspects altstream.online/iggymaid

Specifically, starting with - northskysocial.ca/apply/ Then when you get a code - migrate.northsky.social instructions are laid out clearly, & they have an FAQ detailing what it all entails. The migration of the data can take a fair while though.

Twitch continues to do our marketing for us I see. "we don't want to make our own tools, bet we can get someone else to pay for the LLM slop too" - twitch probably. Meanwhile, our site is made by a single human dev with assistance from community members who actually know what they're doing.

I applied for a code on their website, got one later that day in my email, transferred my data over, and here I am. Don't think there's a mobile app but you can still login via bluesky app if you need to even though all hosting is done via northsky
