Blaming creative fans for why Game Freak can’t make certain designs is treating Game Freak like a smol bean indie company while they make mad money working one of the largest ips in the world. People need to stop both coddling and expecting so much from them.

Game Freak reportedly scrapped a Flying-type Eeveelution during the development of Pokémon Sun & Moon because it looked too similar to existing fanart. The idea was shelved due to concerns over originality and potential design overlap.
Could this be a similar case for the Mega Dragonite design? There are so many better amazing fan designs.

Pokemon artists hinder the games in ways they don't understand. Because if game freak came anywhere close to someone's fan art it would cause a giant backlash. Look at Bungie.
