I see so many artists taking inspiration from Ryou Imamura over the last few years… thank you Onimai the Nama-Anaru anime will surely bring in another wave of followers, the animated manga ad already went kind of crazy on Xitter in 2024 (and has retrended a few times since)

finally watching this thing, and man, Gin-san's drawings have an incredible warmth to them. there's this childlike quality to the loose, wobbly line art and delightfully off-kilter expressions & feature placement, yet the way it's done feels sophisticated #上伊那ぼたん

Impressed with Shinnosuke Itou's output on ep #5 of 4seasons. The sharp sound direction stood out to me, as did the delivery of the climactic moments with their striking, abrupt display. Keeping tabs on Itou for sure; his ep in Vigilantes last year was also one of my faves in that series. #春夏秋冬代行者

The ED dance used interesting VR tech by Kayac to mirror a live-action shoot, allowing real-time camera control and instant shot composition with characters & lighting. The eyes look somewhat lifeless, but otherwise it's processed nicely for the aesthetic they're going for. #ルルットリリィ #るるりり #MSLL

Both the OP and ED had a nice visual flair to them! My favorite bits were the playful cutout parts of the OP and the more minimalistic, moody shots in the ED. I like some aspects of the OP song by Illit, but I'm a bit allergic to K-pop, so I need some time to get used to it. 😅 #ルルットリリィ #るるりり #MSLL

Something I'm not that fond of is the intense chromatic aberration in every shot--it feels like an overbearing filter without much direction. It's weirdly present even in gag frames that are disconnected from the world and aren't actually "shot" with the imagined camera.

Loved the scene with the little girl on her mother's grave-- emotive stuff from voice actor Nao Toyama and (presumably) animator Tomoki Yamane. What really sold it to me was the wavering, erratic timing in both the movement and the delivery of the lines.

not sure where the story is headed but the first ep already had a good self-contained narrative with a deserved happy ending that alleviates the general gloominess
