why are you telling people what to choose?

this is what I want, but in case I didn’t, the ethos of the OS is “describe the changes you want to see and the AI agent will reconfigure it for you accordingly” so there is no problem

as it turns out, people use tools based on whether those tools are useful, rather than whether they agree with various people building said tools about arbitrary irrelevant opinions

“wretched” lmao the crazier and more irrational you get about it, the more you will push normal people to appreciate the ethos of the project are you unaware of this fact?

well… yeah, that’s basically what most distros are. very thin configuration tweaks on what is 99.99% the same base were you deluded into thinking that e.g. Ubuntu is meaningfully distinct from Debian?

Paper money is already essentially trading cards of dead presidents on the surface.

Any news reports about the usual suspects committing crime don't tend to get a whole lot of engagement here on Blue Sky, where the truth is against the narrative.

Imagine living in a world where mass produced pieces of paper can be worth mass produced pieces of paper. Shocking.

Whenever you see a sob story clip of an arrest that deceptively clips off everything that happened before the arrest, you know nearly for certain that the arrest was absolutely justified. 💯

Both major parties have become more authoritarian since Reagan, but the left has become MUCH more authoritarian.

A little amusing that he asked for evidence to support it, and your retort missed the opportunity to provide any.

Holding a high position doesn’t indicate “supercompetence” at all. If it did, you’d be forced to call Trump, Vance, etc., “supercompetent”.

It's one thing to pirate something because you feel you need it, and feel a twinge of shame about what you're doing. But it's another thing entirely to fully rationalize what you're doing and convince yourself that it's morally right. If you're going to do crime, admit you're a criminal.

The radical left always pushes the moderate left toward the right. This time it's due to their self-righteous attitude that they should be able to "take whatever they feel they want or need", without contributing in return.

Those who remain childless by choice throughout their entire lives essentially live out a sort of Peter Pan syndrome; the so-called "man-child" and "crazy cat lady" are both manifestations of "adult children".

There are essentially only two classes of people in this world: Children, and parents. And until you become a parent, you're still a child. You will inevitably still think and behave as a child, and you won't understand why full adults (who have become parents) think and behave the way they do.

As soon as you're aligned with your inherent purpose in life (surviving and reproducing), the most effective (and sometimes even “objectively-correct”) philosophical view on every other moral and social issue usually starts to click into place.

This is one of the major reasons why "starting a family" is one of the number one things that pushes progressives to the right. No matter how progressive they were in their twenties, women who start a family tend to stay home more often in their thirties as they start raising kids.

95% of the time, the claim that “______ is a social construct” suggests that a person has lost touch with a fundamental directive of human existence. In this case, humans are just like all other life — we have a fundamental directive to survive and reproduce. This directive is an inherent purpose.

If you decide to try to interpret gender through any other lens, then you may lead yourself to a number of erroneous conclusions by losing touch with its fundamental purpose. This is just how you lose any sense of "up" if you leave Earth’s gravity and start floating in space.

Gender's sole purpose is to efficiently divide labor between humans who reproduce, under the presumption that humans take a long time to develop, and carrying and raising an infant leaves both the infant and caregiver vulnerable for extended periods of time.

Speculating about the reason for gender (while ignoring its obvious reproductive purpose) is like speculating about the purpose of an airplane (while ignoring its obvious aviation purpose). Selective ignorance over the inherent purpose of things doesn't mean you get to redefine inherent purpose.

Gradually, men and women’s biology (body and mind) have adapted genetically over time to meet these natural roles in reproduction. Everything flows outward from reproduction. You can only hallucinate these postmodern nihilistic beliefs about gender if you have pretend reproduction is not relevant.

Men have evolved roles that are appropriate to the non-childbearing, non-nursing parent. Humans are a species whose children and primary caregivers are incredibly-vulnerable for extended periods. It takes a cat under 1yr to be fully adult. A human <1yr often can’t even walk.

Sexual characteristics are concerned with reproduction — increasing the odds of reproducing, the odds of survival of one’s offspring, and the odds of one’s offspring eventually doing the same. Survival is the most primary directive for living beings. Reproduction is survival of the species.

As you can see at the beginning of this clip, the actual purpose of Antifa is to attack and intimidate those who they disagree with. Again, if your words and actions disagree with one another, then your actions are the ones that win in defining who you are. youtu.be/fFKNObHujwE?...

In reality, Antifa is entirely represented by what they actually do rather than what they say they represent. Ironically, Antifa acts as a fascist entity which attempts to suppress speech and opinions that it dislikes.

Basically, whenever you say "you should support Antifa because you should be against fascism", that's a motte-and-bailey fallacy. What the words "anti-fascist" literally mean and what Antifa in practice actually represents are two entirely different things. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Motte-a...

Because you exist within this tight little ideological bubble that you never allow yourself to leave, you project this onto the right and assume that the right must also be a mirror image of your tight little ideological bubble. But the social science says otherwise.

The left is this tight little ideological bubble where the slightest divergence from the orthodoxy gets you expelled. The right is a much looser coalition of people who are aligned just because of being "non-left". See Exhibit A.
