Found the email I sent when I got accidentally added to the faculty listserv of an orthopedic surgery clinic and nobody would remove me so I sent this email to all faculty/staff/med students and they removed me almost immediately

Hello Bone Colleagues,
I have invented a new type of ankle and I'm very excited to show it to you. Early raccoon trials suggest a 60% increase in scurrying speed and dramatic increases in fine motor banditry. I know we are not supposed to create super raccoons, but I think you'll change your mind and professional ethics when you see how cute they are. I believe we are on the cusp of a new era in advanced human scurrying because if medical science has taught me anything, it's that improvements in raccoons correspond 1:1 to improvements in humans.

Especially if it's more typical band-style groups, just looking into individual members and other people they've worked with often leads to a multitude of new artists, then just skim youtube and follow the recommendation rabbit hole! Great way to bump into new stuff

I've had good luck just treating it as a research interest, starting with an artist you know you enjoy at least a little, who produced their album? Look into them and explore other artists they produced! Who are the musicians credited? See what other projects they've worked on, branching from there

I can only comment on my own habits: keeping up with tour dates, merch, "news" from an artist I always expect to do through bandcamp updates, mailing lists, artist communities, etc.; if I follow someone on social media it's to see the more general stuff, them as a person, not so much news feed posts

If I hit about 30 I start to feel like the project is going off the rails and getting too unwieldy to keep track of, the context switching of layer management just pulls me out of the actual painting flow too much and I have to make myself merge stuff, can't imagine hundreds! I would assume this is something triggered by changing phones, if I understand you correctly that you're using a new device.
