3/3 The adoption of a Convention is only the beginning. Ratification and implementation are the next battles. We will keep organizing, advocating, and holding governments accountable until this historic victory becomes a reality for workers everywhere. #ILC2026 #PlatformWork

2/3 No algorithm should decide whether someone can work, earn an income, or be hired. IDWF's delegations at #ILC2025 and #ILC2026 worked tirelessly to ensure domestic workers and workers in the informal economy were visible and not left behind in these historic negotiations. ✊🏿

🧵1/3 🔵 #ILC2026 This is a victory for all platform workers, including #DomesticWorkers who rely on apps and digital platforms to find work. It is a step forward in the fight to be recognized as workers and to ensure dignity and respect prevail over insecurity and exploitation. 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾

To achieve #GenderEquality at work, governments must effectively tackle informality and ensure access to social protection for all workers, regardless of employment status. It is time to turn commitments into action. ✊🏿

🔵 #ILC2026 / In the #PlatformEconomy, #DomesticWorkers shoulder all the risks, while digital labor platforms make massive profits. We are at the #ILC2026 to urge Member States to adopt a robust ILO Convention that ensures technological progress does not come at the expense of workers’ rights. ✊🏿

🔵 #ILC2026 / We fight for robust, equitable, and gender-responsive care policies that ensure #DecentWork for #DomesticWorkers, while securing access to quality care for them and their families. Care must be recognized as the foundation of gender equality. ✊🏿

🔵 #ILC2026 / We are facing a global context marked by the rise of authoritarianism, democratic rollbacks, and a deliberate weakening of trade unions. The path toward social justice for workers is clear: organize, unite, and transform systems together. ✊🏿🗣️

These standards must apply to ALL platform workers, regardless of employment status. They cannot roll back existing fundamental rights at work. Instead, they must reinforce those rights while advancing new protections that reflect the realities of platform-mediated labor.
