This is strange to read, because Tabletop Simulator *does* cache images by default. Hard to understand why most MtG players would have that disabled. The modules absolutely should be rate-limiting themselves, though. (As should TTS itself, honestly.) Deck imports are painfully spammy.

I snagged a Ryzen 5800x3D off craigslist for under $300! I was certain it would be a scam, but no, was just a guy selling parts from his kid's system after upgrading to AM5. VR stuff runs SO much better now, and the crashes from before -seem- to be gone, so far...

I want to run an old-school AD&D 2nd edition game. With plenty of tweaks and home-brew, sure, but that was the D&D of my youth, and I never got to play it at an actual table! The style and -mood- of the game is so different from the modern versions.

We're on cable, yeah. Apparently they re-provisioned the neighborhood here to use something called high-split, which doesn't work with our existing docsis 3.1 modem. Much as I hate using Comcast's equipment, I switched to their modem and suddenly upstream is 300 Mbps.

Overload is the one created by the developers of Descent 1&2, nearly all of them got back together for the modernization. It's excellent! And absolutely is Descent 4 in spirit.

Yeah, the level editor was a bit like AutoCAD. Functional, but definitely -much- harder to use than the editors for Doom. Even still, my multiplayer maps folder between both games is filled with hundreds of levels!

Oh, it absolutely did! I was in a league with a whole bunch of people specifically focused around playing Descent 2 multiplayer online. And I knew of at least two others, we'd sometimes do little tournaments and everything. Rangers, Pyro Pilots Guild, Wildcards, the ladders, good times. :)

It's weird how difficult it is to find a draconic avatar base I'm happy with for VRChat. Velos is a simple creature design-wise. Lithe, slender muzzle, no spines/spikes/fins/frills/fur, just smooth horns and the ears. Yet every base is encrusted with STUFF, or super-muscled, or toony like a fursuit.
