The Voyager probes have 69.63 kilobytes of memory per computer, which is roughly enough to store a typical internet JPEG.

The Voyager probes use copper wire circuits with magnetized fields to store memory. This is a precursor to magnetic disks, and the memory can retain bytes even if the probes lose power.
