I just sent the two images I posted here earlier via iMessage and neither was cropped. I don’t think your problem has anything to do with the format or ratio of the images saved out from Tapestry. Seems like an iMessage bug of some kind though. These are both from iMessage:

This is really iMessage’s problem, not Tapestry’s I’m afraid. The app generates a shot that has to fit all of the content from the post into the image, like these. Neither of these would be possible to fit into a 16:9 format easily.
