In neurology I usually make notes when I round... I keep them for three or four months then I shred them. But Sometimes when patients have abnormal brain imaging i draw little pictures on my notes to remind me what's going on. These little squiggles represent strokes, bleeding, tumors...

Making scrap quilts, my favorite block. Pick scrap quilts sell like hotcakes. I can't keep enough pink scrap to make em and sometimes I cut actual non scrap fabric for them.

Missed the superbowl this weekend but I caught this superb owl in the park by the house.

Dark and twisted oak limbs covered in curling ferns and spanish moss are silhouetted against a chambrey blue dusky sky. On one of the big limbs, blending in with the dark bark, is an upright and stern looking great horned owl, looking directly down at the camera with large dark eyes and a wide collar of light feathers under his chin.
