It can actually work if you lay it out differently. Any more than this though, iirc, and things start to get Cursed if you want everything to still overlap properly

GW made the fatal mistake of releasing two images of the same kit in different colour schemes and I am now hyperfixated on comparing the two to find out how much they're designed to let you change stuff around beyond just the faces. So far not too shabby

Image of a squad of ten Boyz from Warhammer 40k - vicious orcs like you'd see in a fantasy setting albeit armed with a variety of crude pistols, assault rifles, and bladed weapons, lead by a slightly larger "boss nob" with a hydraulic claw. Three others carry heavy weapons: a heavy machine gun, a rocket launcher, and a flamethrower respectively. They are painted wearing the black and red armour of the Goffs clan, and are surrounded by a ramshackle truck and their hulking supreme leader, Ghazghkull Thraka.

Another image of a different unit of ten Boyz, this time painted in the red and yellow armour of the Evil Suns. Notably the squad's flamethrower and machine gun are carried by different models to the Goffs ones, the rocket launcher is absent, and some others have one or both of their arms changed for different ones. The boss nob is further back and has a battleaxe instead of a claw (which was already known to be an option). These are surrounded by orcs on bikes, "killa kan" goblin mechs, and a generic "warboss" captain armed with a hydraulic claw and double-barreled assault rifle with underslung flamethrower.

Seriously I cannot stress enough how much I love this thing

Initial reveal image for the Centaur Rapid Strike Vehicle model from Warhammer 40k. Resembling the "half-track" vehicles used as troop transports during the second world war (especially the American-designed ones used by the allies), it is a green armoured truck with a set of tank treads instead of rear wheels. Behind the cabin is an open-topped compartment seating a few Cadian soldiers wearing green armour over khaki uniforms, one of which has opened a bulletproof glass window in order to fire out the side with their laser rifle. Another Cadian trooper is visible sticking out of a hatch besides the driver's seat in order to operate a machine gun. A variety of tools, sandbags and other stowage decorate the vehicle, and the door to the cabin is emblazoned with the Cadian emblem (a human skull in the centre of a white gate).

It's not just me, right? This thing's way more badass looking on the tabletop than it is in the video game?

Screenshot from the livestream reveal of the Siege Tank for StarCraft: Tabletop Miniatures Game - a massive hi-tech tank with three pairs of caterpillar tracks and two cannons on the turret. It is painted in the blue and silver scheme used by Jim Raynor's player-controlled forces in StarCraft 2: Wings of Liberty.

Another screenshot, this time showing the model's alternate construction to represent the tank deployed into its eponymous Siege Mode - the middle two tracks are lifted off the ground, the front and rearmost pairs have splayed out, the actual front and back of the vehicle have folded down into hydraulic "feet" to act as shock absorbers, and the casing between the two cannons has split open to form a massive railgun-like howitzer known as the Shock Cannon. Despite being a separate model it is painted in the same colours.

Forgot to press esc and came back to this smh my head

Really scraped the bottom of the barrel with this one

Usually these are actual images of the models heavily photoshopped to add dramatic lighting and special effects, but here the hand on the trigger of the model's gun appears to have an additional finger compared to the actual models, pointing towards the possibility that this was instead made using AI.

[Bullet] Bought something fun today
