It certainly seemed that way! With that image of the main girl looking melancholic. At least, could have been something on the level of a Revue Starlight. But alas, no.

Well I am deffo not making a smaller tournament. Would just be part of 2027’s tournament in November, haha.

Basically: Love Live turned inward and did stuff only the Japanese could access(Seiyuu focused Superstar group, Hasu game), and the anime writing took a nosedive. Plus the newest group, Bluebird, just left floundering over a year in.

Insanely disappointing. If they can’t even be bothered to exhibit a piece of art made by a human for advertising, why tf should we think they value any of the art inside?

That's exactly what I was thinking with this. Hearing Arale's voice made Viola want to fuck with them, and tease Miyako a little. Just loved the idea of Viola just being around during one of their meetings 😂

Mewtype meeting in VR Chat: Manager: "Miyako-san! Why is your video off?" Miyako: "Aha...working on manga right now! I'm still available!" Arale: "Must be deadlines again. Good luck, Miyak-" ???: "Ngggh...not there, Miyakooo..." Arale: "VIOLA?!" Miyako: "WE ARE CUDDLING, THAT'S ALL! I SWEAR!"

I'm sure being a Vtuber means there isn't much of a fitness requirement for Miyako. But her love of MagiLulu I'm sure sparks her desire for fitness. Or cruel punishment, like that Akihabara shrine run she did.

IciclePrism @icicleprism.bsky.social · 10/10/2026

I think you're deffo right about this. She was at the agency until nightfall, from what we saw with Miyako. So I'm sure some of that time was spent on an exercise routine.

Special announcement! Yuri Girl 2026 Tournament will officially start on Friday, November 20th and run until Sunday, December 6th! Due to overwhelming participants this year, for the first time, the bracket will feature 64 girls! No qualifier! Excited to see how this plays out 😄

IciclePrism @icicleprism.bsky.social · 09/10/2026

You do have a point…and from what I understand when I saw the movie, I don’t see this moving the needle much in terms of perception of the series. So maybe doing this based on past reputation will be fine.

IciclePrism @icicleprism.bsky.social · 09/10/2026

It would be such a shame though…so many good potential matchups if they were in this year! Homura vs Yachiyo! Madoka vs Nanoha! Mermaid mini tournament with Lara, Sirena and Sayaka! Good and bad to both decisions…normally I wouldn’t care, but one of these girls has a good shot of winning.

With the announcement of the Madoka movie hitting US theaters in January…I am in two minds of the yuri tournament. Sure the movie came out this year, but next to nobody in this space will have seen it by November. So I am wondering if I should move them to next year…

You’re totally right, all we know is that Viola is a vocalist. And we never see Fairy Bouquet holding instruments…so I am not sure. But snakes do have a lot of muscle, as you said. So Viola cheerily jogging alongside Miyako would be funny 🤣

030

IciclePrism @icicleprism.bsky.social · 09/10/2026

Then again, there is also comedy in Viola seeing exercise and getting sweaty as beneath her…and suffering just as much as Miyako when dragged along.

IciclePrism @icicleprism.bsky.social · 09/10/2026

I wonder how fit Viola is compared to Miyako. Since we know that Miyako is weak, but wants to get stronger whenever she gets motivated. And if the two are together…she would try and exercise together. I like to imagine Viola is stronger than she looks. Baffling Miyako.

You have to place enrichment for your evil gf to have some fun, or she will get bored.

Viola and Miyako inside Miyako’s apartment. Viola sees a cup of colored pencils precariously on the edge of a counter. Viola: “…are those bait?” Miyako: “Maybe.” Viola: *dramatically knocks them over* “AHAHAHA! WEEP IN DESPAIR!” Miyako: “Oh nooooo. Will she help clean up?” Viola: “Of course~”

This always annoys me. How people will go to an account that posts yuri...and complain that "why can't girls be friends anymore?!" Literally nobody is saying they can't. Don't like yuri? Look elsewhere. x.com/orxcalot/sta...

Miyako did draw that art of herself as detective, and Viola in the cat suit. Which is also a leotard-like outfit...hm...

Poor girl is probably stressing about if she's yuri enough. Umiri: "Yuutenji-san, we must kiss so I can be more yuri. No?" *eyes turn to Taki*

While making the bracket for the yuri tournament, I noticed I forgot to add 1 person from my list. I didn’t know who, so I went one by one, checking them off. The girl I forgot? Umiri. Out of all girls to forget, it had to be her 🤣

You never realize how little you understand until you are shown an abstract cityscape while Homura talks philosophy from off screen.

Watching both the Precure and Madoka movies in Japan was kind of hilarious, since I understood about 90% of Precure with my 2nd grade level Japanese and the visuals. And understood maybe 10% of Madoka.
