She’s been grilled on this. She didn’t even see his stuff directly. She’s heard what the avowed white-supremacists are saying about him very publicly, and she chooses to believe + join-in spreading it w/o fact-check. “Pick me!” She’s still making that conscious choice. For reasons, of course.

She agrees Cofnas is a white supremacist… and therefore how dare you imply she agrees with him! But to be clear she also 100% agrees with him and is happy to join in the online white-supremacist lynch mob Cofnas started. You know, to protect sacred and pure bloodlines of our institutions. Y’know.

Such is the sticky note that might have been left by an ungrateful and transactional apprentice to
Michelangelo while grinding paints and learning fresco painting from the master.
Thankfully, there were no fresco painters' apprentice unions in 1508. And the world has enjoyed the incomparable Sistine Chapel since.

A line plot from a CNBC article, showing wealth inequality (as measured by the Gini coefficient) being the highest it’s been in 60 years, since measurements began.

Text reads:

Wealth inequality over the last six decades
The Gini coefficient from 1965 to 2025

Note: Numbers closer to 100 indicate higher inequality and wealth concentration; numbers closer to zero indicate the reverse. 2024 and 2025 data utilize some estimates.

The net worth of America's top 1% hit a record share of nearly 32% in the third quarter of 2025, the Federal Reserve reported. By comparison, the bottom 50% cumulatively held 2.5% of overall net wealth.

Betteridge's law of headlines
Article

Betteridge's law of headlines is an adage that states: "Any headline that ends in a question mark can be answered by the word no." It is based on the assumption that if the publishers were confident that the answer was yes, they would have presented it as an assertion; by presenting it as a question, they are not accountable for whether it is correct or not.

The article describes Republicans being petty shits, praising Trump for capital projects funded by Biden’s Infrastructure bill. Then the author congratulates themself for also giving Trump some praise and tries to make it a “both sides” article without ever reflecting on the lopsidedness of it all.
Last week, Alabama's two U.S. Senators,
Republicans Katie Britt and Tommy Tuberville, penned an op-ed thanking President Donald Trump for the project. They heaped praise upon him and talked so breathlessly about his contributions to the project that you'd have thought Trump was hanging from a crane helping to erect the bridge with his bare hands.
You'd never know, for example, that it wasn't his project.
It was President Joe Biden's.
The funding for it - almost all of the $550 million it will cost - came as part of Biden's infrastructure plan that was passed in 2021.
The actual awarding of the $550 million grant was announced in 2024, while Biden was still president.
Every one of Alabama's Republican
congressional delegation, including Tuberville, voted against the infrastructure bill. Britt, who was elected a year later, said she also would have voted against it. Rep. Terri Sewell, Alabama's only Democrat at the time, was the only one from the state to vote for it. (Which makes a pretty solid argument for electing more Democrats, it seems.)

This is Pierre. I made him from a popular kids’ “learn to crochet” kit, it’s my first time learning any of these stitches. He has some knot errors and slight asymmetries but I think he’s perfect just how he is. My daughter was very proud of me.
My version of Pierre the Penguin, from the popular Woobles “learn to crochet” kits. He’s a little blue egg-shaped stuffy with two black plastic safety eyes, a little white circular belly, a yellow yarn beak between his eyes, and a little blue flipper on each side of his body. He doesn’t sit up very well but that’s okay, he’s perfect and none of y’all rat bastards can me otherwise. My little contribution to hand-made cuteness in a screwed up world.

He is very good at this. The Fox audience that fell for him for ten years was the easy mark.
The harder mark is the audience that just spent ten years watching what he did to the easy mark, and is now being told he has changed. He has not. He has just found people who have not been watching as carefully.

Is there latency for labels being *removed*? I picked “he/him” to replace the separate “he” & “him” labels, & de-selected the latter two. “He/him” showed up almost instantly but now all 3 persist, despite only 1 being currently selected. Do I wait, or is it a bug? Not a big deal, but ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

A small 4-panel, wordless cartoon.

P1: A group of people stand facing a single person on the right with a whip.

P2: The whip is cracked. Everyone on the left is cowed down to protect themselves. Except for one, who remains standing firm.

P3: As the whip rears up for another snap, now half-a-dozen people are standing in defiance.

P4: Now everyone on the left side is standing again, and the person holding the whip, seriously outnumbered, is now cowering.

When I click the "Setting" button, it pops up this "PP Timer" window with the prompt "Get full Timer functionality for only $5 a year! Buy a license." and 'PP Timer by Addinly' in the byline below. There is no setting to delete or disable this little window now.
