Kind of funny how the final episode of Soremachi is like, "See! Hotori is actually loved by everyone!" when that fact was never in doubt. I mean, look at her dumbass face.

It's crazy how Fire Emblem invented one guy with pink hair and a little bit of rizz with the ladies and suddenly he's public enemy number one on anime nerd Bluesky Makes you think 🤔

Thanks to everyone who enjoyed my Fire Emblem posts! Now that I'm actually playing the game I'm ending the bit & will stop posting because I don't want to spoil for anyone, but it was a fun time this past week or whatever.

So excited to finally be getting started on Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave!! If only it wasn't so hard to pick your character at the start!!

Wow, it's finally launch week for Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave!! If there's one thing I know, it's that the fortune I'm weaving for myself involves getting hype for the release in a few days!! Let's go!!

It's 2026. It's a Saturday morning in the summer. I'm in my car with the windows down, driving fast. I'm listening to Girls Dead Monster. I'm getting chills listening to Crow Song. It's 2026. Many things in the world are bad, but not everything.

Anyone else getting hyped for the tactical gameplay masterclass coming next week with Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave? I sure am!! Release day can't come soon enough!!!

Guys I could be wrong but I'm thinking Fortune's Weave might actually end up being the best Fire Emblem game of all time, I just really feel like they're cooking something sick. So hype!!

Up through episode 8 of Jaadugar tonight. I do adore the character designs, but when everyone is so adorably blobby it's a bit hard to find any of them especially threatening. The overall tone is so pleasant, and everyone generally seems so nice, despite Sitara wanting them all in the ground lol

When will they make discourse bait for me :(((((( I'm too detached, none of the current discourses spark passion within me, all I can do is shitpost from my ivory castle 🥲

Oh, yeah, I also caught up with Yomi no Tsugai yesterday. I'm enjoying it but it does feel like the weakest of the Arakawa works so far & I think it because the world that the good cast exists in is just kind of nothing.

110

青い髪の幼馴染協会 @iblessall.bsky.social · 08/09/2026

I watched up through Jaadugar episode 6 yesterday and while I am enjoying it and think it's good, it definitely feels like (especially with the time skips) that we spent the first half of the show on an extended prologue. I say this more descriptively than anything else; it's not necessarily bad.

When does Sitara get her witch powers and starting destroying the Mongols with aura and hype?

Looking back at my feed and wow, I have really barely posted at all over the last month or so. I had a work trip and vacation in there, but other than that my life outside of work has really been run. eat. write. It's sort of simple but I'm largely enjoying it.

Happy Oolong Tea Tuesday to my followers! Today's cup is a Taiwanese Jin Xuan, which has absolutely stunned me in the first few sips for how different it is from the Nepalese oolong that's featured on Oolong Tea Tuesday for the past few months.

Watched through episode 5 of Witch Hat Atelier and I have to say I felt like the adaptation really started flexing the strengths of the audio-visual medium. The conveyance of scale in motion with Qifrey's magic was wonderful, but cutting the gentle insert/ending song at "tell no one" even better.

Trying to decide if I want to solicit feedback on this short story or if I just want to let it rest and just publish it once the cover comm comes in 🤔

Watched the first two episodes of Witch Hat Atelier tonight. There are a lot of nice incidental animation details without which I feel like the show wouldn't work, like the floppy way the magic circles float up from the paper.

Recovering from a rough week by writing about a princess who can summon a giant robot and chain-drinking tea. It's been quite an effective antidote the my worldly travails.

Being a responsible adult and cancelling my final VTuber membership in recognition that, after 5 years, I just don't watch even my oshi often enough to justify the monthly payment. End of an era. 😔

I feel like every day for the past two weeks I've logged into Bluesky and seen people alluding to some kind of anime-related discourse, but have not actually witnessed any of the discourse myself. It's sort of an odd feeling but I hope everyone can be freed of arguing with randos eventually 🙏

I guess, in the end, Kamiina Botan is just the kind of show where you have to stop the characters from making out so they can symbolically make out via ear piercing instead.

Ghost in the Shell (1995) While the astounding visuals certainly haven't lost any of their brilliance over the years and the aesthetic experience is wonderful, I have to confess I find the thematic and philosophical questions somewhat quaint over thirty years later, not to any fault of the film.

Somewhere out there, there's someone for whom Kamiina Botan (the show) is to what Darling in the Franxx was to Xiran Jay Zhao and I think that's beautiful.
