God, I hope to be back on here more. I was incredibly sick this past half year, actually almost died of a severe vitamin D deficiency and also finally got properly diagnosed with PMDD and suspected Endo. Been a lot, treatment is slow and my nervous system is in shambles :‘) but we’re getting there!!

My last #thebandghost fanart. Perpetua reviving souls. It is, in a way, a twin illustration to ‘The Shepherd of the Damned Souls’, which depicted Copia riding on a festive mound of skeletons. close ups in the next post.

Digital illustration in colour and vertical format, depicting a sea of more or less emaciated bodies, some still lifeless skeletons while others have regained most of their flesh, albeit putrid, and are moving upwards. This entire swarming mass is located at the bottom of the composition and is rendered in shades of grey and dark green, except for the bones, which shine with a brighter green.

There are also swirls of light in the same green colour throughout the scene, which we can assume to be the source of the bodies' reanimation.

All of this is overlooked by a figure floating above, dressed in a black and purple papal robe, richly embroidered and adorned with jewels and metal crucifixes. The mitre is also purple, with jewels and crucifixes made of silver skeletons.
This is Perpetua, recognisable by his face partially hidden by a silver skull mask. He looks down, his arms outstretched from his body, from which emanate the green magical swirls described above. He is therefore the one who revives these bodies.
The sky, which serves as the background for this illustration, is also very dark, blue-purple, turning to a slightly lighter grey towards the horizon.

I'm finishing the last commissions. Here's one that I've really enjoyed doing, and which I think you'll like too! The idea for the pose and composition came from the commissioner, I just executed the request. You may recognise the digital style I use to plan my linocuts. #thebandghost

It shows Papa V, Perpetua, seated, ankles crossed, right arm raised pointing with two fingers upwards and left arm lowered pointing with two fingers downwards, exactly like the statue of Baphomet.
Perpetua is dressed in the purple bishop's robe, with his bony spine tail curled up and hanging over his right leg. He is also wearing the semi-transparent winged mitre, which is a little reminiscent of the shape of Copia's cornet, as two parts of the fabric point upwards at the back of his head.
He also wears his demon/bat wings, one pointing upwards and the other downwards, following the movement of his arms.
Of course, he's wearing his half-skull mask, with a slightly frightening, toothy grin.
He's surrounded by white smoke and there's a halo of white light around his head, with a few fine rays reaching to the edges of the image.
