In the Super Bowl era, NFL teams are an unsurprising 2797-68 when allowing 7 or fewer points in a game. Except for the 1988 Chiefs. They went an almost-impossible 0-3 in those games, losing 3-6 vs Cleveland, 6-7 at Houston, and 6-7 vs Detroit. Only 3 other teams even lost 2 such games in a season.

The Chiefs have just the third-best point differential in their own division...and are 11-1 and in position for the #1 seed with just five weeks to go. It's been a strange season. I tried to make sense of it with Taylor and Austin. Not sure if we succeeded, but we had fun trying.

omg, the last play the Raiders called was supposed to just be a throwaway pass to eat more time before the FG attempt. There were only 16 seconds left! The Chiefs won because of the 13 seconds game. 16 seconds was too much time to leave them. Incredible.

The Chiefs are 5-0 vs. the NFC this season, and dating back to 2018, they're 26-6 against NFC opponents during the regular season. Those 26 wins are the most of any AFC team vs. the NFC during that time, and more than two NFC teams have against their own conference.

Mahomes first 7 games: 8 TD (1.1 per game) 9 INT (1.3 per game) 12 sacks (1.7 per game) Mahomes last 3 games: 7 TD (2.3 per game) 2 INT (0.7 per game) 10 sacks (3.3 per game) I think his desire to avoid sacks early in the season led to forced throws. This recent version has been more effective.
