In the first year of the Trump admin, people held in detention by ICE increased from 38 to 68k. THIS REFLECTS A CIVIL DETENTION SYSTEM, not a criminal one. The majority of people in ICE custody are held without bail, and not because they’ve been accused of a crime. source: LegalClarity.org
