Damon Lindelof even said, “It’s called Lanterns, because we all agreed that the ‘Green’ was stupid, so now it’s just Lanterns.” That comment was so telling, joke or not. I hope that we’ll get proper space stuff, ‘cause Green Lantern should be more Star Wars than True Detective.

As much as I liked Lanterns for what it is, yeah, they told us ages ago that they weren’t interested in doing anything resembling proper Green Lantern. The teaser trailer was so divisive that Grant Morrison commented about how it alienated fans. And they had to add green in!

I did a “The Furious Disclosure Day” double feature today, and both were great for very different reasons. Spielberg got more sauce than a spaghetti aisle, and The Furious had absolutely insane fights. Both are worth watching in the theater!
